Fantastic. I love my Iridium but can easily get stuck building a sound. This is a great approach. Thanks for sharing it.

I've just taken delivery of an Iridium Core and am watching your videos with great interest. This is a great tip, and Iridium is a really nice synth - don't sell it!! :).

First of all, thank you for the very well explained handling of the Waldorf Iridium! I own one myself and also the Waldorf Iridium CORE. I cannot share what you say at the end of your video, at least as far as I understand it. I think you understand synthesizers very well. And I also believe that you understand the various forms of synthesis very well. As far as I can tell, you are a true master of electronic sound creation. After my retirement, I will only devote myself to electronic music. I can also learn from people like you... Thank You...

Great technique and video. So, one buys possibly the best synthesizer ever produced, as I did (discounted B stock) and immediately reality kicks in after playing with the presets: how to get the most out of this thing? There are very few online tutorials for the synth worth watching. I would be happy to be your first paying student of the ultimate Iridium course in a RU-vid algorithm free environment. A real course made by someone who knows what he/she is doing with the Iridium, which by itself, is refreshing and difficult to find on the Internet, would be welcome. It is a small market, but such is life. More Iridium content would certainly be welcome. Why not run an organ through the Iridium? Thanks for the quality content on your channel.

I would love an Iridium course from him, I would actually buy that in a second--I really liked his other course. Honestly his Iridium patches are ultimately what inspired me to buy it, but I've sadly not been able to make much on it that hit that same spot 😥

Great Video Jameson. As you said this is just one Oszillator. The Iridium is so powerful and you can get lost for hours. I also love the Waldorf M as a pure Wavetable Synth. You can match sounds of the M with the Iridium but the M can sound really crazy and dirty. The Acid bug in the 8bit mode is fantastic. You should try this beautifull machine if you got the chance. I think you will love it. Keep on doing such videos. I like your kind humor

Guess you're going to have to get one of those 3rd Wave's. I have the old WaveStation A/D and a couple of 5U Robert Rich Special Edition E350's. I love how they really put some thought in how the waves in the wavetables go together. Nice thing about the Wave Sequences in the WS (and I assume the newer Korg synths) is you can pick and choose which waves you mod thru. That said... your Iridium seems a helluva lot easier to mod thru the wavetables.

I definitely do this on the wavetable engine on the microfreak. hopefully the minifreak gets a wavetable engine sometime soon and we can do it without paying iridium prices.

Man this is just so achingly beautiful. Have you used a similar patch on any of the music you have released? I feel a whole track was just wanting to erupt out of this session here. Like I know you were focused on patching techniques but there was some real emotion coming through on this one. Maybe it was the particular sequences that you programmed.

Wow really cool trick thank you! With some random midi generator (like OXI ONE) this could be really nice meditational sessions ❤️ Just sit in front of hardware and with some intervak click "random" and scroll through destinations/sources in modmatrix. With Hydrasynth it's pretty easy and entertaining too 😸

Nice technique! I think my workflow for this would be to set 2-3 LFO's and envelopes in different ways, sustained, fast, slow, plucky, S&H, Saw, ....., and then move on to "random mod to random destination". Great when people come up with other ways of using the things we use every day. The mod matrix would, to me, typically be where I go when I have a certain idea, and then execute. If I'm allowed to share another guy with great tips, in a sort of similar manner to this video, it's Ricky's video on pitch envelopes. Great way of using the basic stuff: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ql0oQqLqd7I.html Thanks again!

Thanks! It’s actually a 3d Waves stand for my Prophet6 desktop, but it works well for the Iridium too 👍
