that blind fire by you and the hindy around 14:20 on a capping dd is pretty impressive. also, like many others have said, hearing the thought processes behind what you're doing AS you're doing it has really helped my gameplay in terms of map awareness and positioning

its when your 12 mins into the video and just about to die, marseille and sub dies and your heal finishes and your on 3/4's health just shows how strong the conq is.

You don't mention it but I love how many modules you break with Conq HE. Really annoying for the enemy if all their AA, Secondaries, Guns and Torps keep breaking/getting destroyed.

With the reflection on the water thingy that shows up when the subs ping now, subs are dying left and right. Something spots them eventually, even if it's just a plane flying over for a second, there's usually 2-3 sets of depth charges on the way immediately and it's heavy damage or sunk. Subs can only really bully single overextended ships, I just don't see them as anywhere near game-breaking. Radar is much more OP. The 3-4 12km soviet radar cruisers in every clan battle or the ~45 second 10km USN radar is what gets me upset most of the time, not subs or CVs.

Hi PQ, I know you don´t like the chat, but simply clicking the map sector is not enough for showing a sub is there. Much better is clicking a sector and writing "sub" in chat. Helps ten times more

AP short fuse time (0.15) is really nice on the Conqueror, the overpens are always frustrating ... Agree with you, submarines have become the bane of this game.

4:32 Well to be fair they raised Conqueror's citadel back in 0.8.6, even before the removal of the 457mm gun module.

Maybe solution for subs would be sonar planes. Samo mechanics like depth charges but planes drop sonar probe that spots them in a cyrcle.

I’m newish to this game, playing tier 5-7 and CVs at time frustrating but subs have really infuriated me when I’m in a BB when you’re in a good position and it can farm you at will with zero counters except to guess where it is.

12:00 I hate subs but I hate players who can't play them even more. The fact that the sub here was out of depth meter 10 minutes into the game means that he probably spent every second underwater without managing it or playing around his concealment. It was a German sub too, meaning he has the consumable that stops meter depletion under water and he still managed to get it to 0 at 10 minutes. I've been trying to pay attention to my different concealments on different depths and I always manage to save up at least half of my meter by the end of the game. So him spending 10 minutes underwater cost him his life. He could have continued swimming 3km next to you and kept torping you.

The conqueror has better ap pen than gk and Montana... A lot of people don't realise that :) Also the short fuse is only a disadvantage against spaced armour bbs. Ships like yamato, kremlin and British bbs are basically not affected by the short fuse

In the first match, here 22:32 did 2 bombs just scrape your side not killing you? if true, thats was so close you could see the water spash coming so close to your ship.

Problem is, this sub player could have used his range to stay out of danger and farm you for free, but instead he pressed W and died and thats the kind of people wg balances and designs them around and since other feedback is simply ignored (like the forums that are positively on fire with sub hate) we probably have to suck it up and just hope everytime a sub is in the game that the player is a total dud, just like with carriers. Counterplay is not allowed against wgs new favorite child.

Subs on world of warships are like tanks in battlefield games, if you are playing as anything but in another veihicle or as an engineer, all you cam do is run away or die.

I loved conqueror with the 457s, and I used them exclusively, and then the devs removed them for no particular reason other than the 419s were super popular. Some of my most fun, best damage games were had in the 457 conqueror and I stopped playing for a while and missed the chance to get the Thunderer.

so I think I'll probably grind Conqueror one day, after I'll get Conqueror Junior (aka Goliath who is balanced by her extremely limited short range). Regarding that Marseille in the first game. If you've ever played Dunkerque (which I don't think you did, the overall ship isn't great, especially the poor armor and the low amount of small caliber guns) it's the same HE shells, one of the fastest around (behind of course, russians) with a speed of roughly 885 m/s and a 33% fire chance. Also finally that speed buff at the ends come from Andrew Cunningham designed for Daring and Audacious torpedoes (like how Sansonetti is designed for Italian ships), by buffing the speed of one and of the planes of the second (Daring being the slowest of all DD around and Audacious having the slowest planes around) And that use of AP. My lord, is that legal ?

The most stupid think about Conqueror is that it is the best BB to resist focus from another Conqueror. Or used to be until St. Vincent came out. It's such an awful design choice that the HE spamming BB is also the one that doesn't need to care about fires, playing against one is so frustrating because you know you can't even try to out-DOT it. At least the Vincent line has a bit worse HE (similarly stupid fire chances but less alpha) so now we at least have a superheal BB line that doesn't rely as much on HE.

Completely agree on subs. The new cancer. Already happened to me too. Sub farming on my bb wo any chance to do anything. I wonder how stupid can dev be doing something like this that prevent a player to play the game just because somebody with sub pick up you as a target. Dev smoked game broken.

Conqueror is actually the 1st Tier 10 BB I got, been playing sporadically since closed beta, with breaks. Hell i remember when you could fire and not be spotted in open water. The last time I had stopped was right when they added the British battleship line lol but anyway I'd say it's a fairly "noob" friendly BB, decent AP, outright OP HE, and while it's certainly not a brawling BB, that super heal has saved me from a couple devstrikes and killing the other BB. I do agree that it was probably part of the beginning of "the problem" HE/ fire spam. The DCP really is over loaded now with fire, flood, sub pings. I wish they'd overhaul it to be less punishing, and less rewarding for passive gameplay.

see how there are only 5 CV in the queue. In asia, CV queue, sometimes, is more than the rest combined, usually it is in 2 digits while others are 1 digit

They haven't added submarines to operations, so it's alright to frustrate and farm other players, but don't you dare think of farming bots.

Hot take: fire prevention isn't needed, or even useful, on Conqueror. What do you care about fires? You heal 100% of fire damage and can easily out heal multiple fires. The damage they deal is almost irrelevant. 4 points that an be spent elsewhere, like IRPR or Vigilance.

Lol as a new player I hate when I load into tier 2 just to have some fun and I get up tiered and boom, CV. Like I don't mind CVs but not in tier 2. CVs didnt exist when most of those ships were built.

10:16 there is a sub you have his bearing USE those BOMBS. Here you immediately give up at the slightest hint of opposition, I really hate that mentality. It`s not easy to hit but you CAN hit it. Use the tools don`t be a tool. 100% of shots not taken miss, so shoot, launch & strike, even when you have a low chance, cause low is better than none.

There is only one thing you can do with subs .. rush at them. Trouble is, often you can't. But for sure you can't run away from them.

There is nothing for you to do?!? Well, you could actually use your ASW planes on cooldown on the bearing of the ping. Conq has some of the better ASW on BB when it comes to range.
