With your love for nostalgia you really should take the Norris/ Clinton exit & follow the signs about 1/2 a mile to the Museum of Appalachia. Its amazing! One of the log cabins was actually Daniel Boones. They made a TV series there in the late 70s called Daniel Boone. This video was great. I love towns like this. Nice to see you & Heather 👫& Nancy 🐶. See ya next time 🙋

Thank you for showing me Cumberland Gap TN. Jon. It's a beautiful TN. Town. So historical too. Really enjoyed this video. Nice to see you brought your family along. My mother was from Mountain view TN. She grew up around there and Alto close to Winchester and Decherd TN. We used to go every year at the end of May to the family reunion at the Hill Cemetery. My mother was from a long line of Sherrils and Hills. Originating from the upper north East part of TN. My 7th great grandaddy was the first Governor of TN. John Sevier. As my mother ancestors came from one of their children and from one of the Sherrils from England who was in relation. To his wife who helped to settle the North East area of TN. My mother is descended from a group of settlers who signed the papers that founded and made TN. a state. And who helped elect John Sevier as governor around the time of the 1700s. And had children who had children with one of the governor's children. Lol. That sort of thing. It's all in my mother's published family history book. My mother passed away in 2015 and was from a big family of 9 kids. I still have mom's family book. So my mom and I are thru many years descended from the first Governor of this great state of Tennessee! I'm so proud of my historical heritage. It's so nice to see parts of TN with you. Thanks for your beautiful videos.

@@kayclapp8639 Wow I've never heard of that. Yeah it's in my mother's family history book. I'll look that up soon. Thanks. Yeah I've never heard of that. Hmm interesting. 🙂. Yeah my sister first told me about it. Cause she saw mom's family book after they were sent out. Way before I did. She said jokingly that we were like Tennessee royalty lol. I'm like oh ok. It was cool to find out my family history after it was found out by my mother's relatives. Thanks for the tip.

Jon I want to give you 2 thumbs 👍 on the 1 tank trips! I absolutely love babbling brooks, and waterfalls. They're on my passion list, and Tigers are on that list as well! My favorite waterfall to explore is "Dry Falls" in the Pisgah National Forest in Highlands, North Carolina. It's the only waterfall I've ever been to where you can literally walk behind it!!! Oh by way, Heather and your Pomeranian are beautiful!! Years ago I had a solid black Pomeranian, I wanted to name him after Eddie Murphy, so I gave him the name, Murphy!! See ya on the next one! 🍔🍟☕

Hi Jon... love your, "take me fans along" trips. I can no longer get around well enough to go on exploration trips, so this is a treat for me. Have to say that I noticed, when you panned the woods & said you heard something big @ 12:10 there looked to be a big "X" made with crossed trees. Can only get a side view, but it made me think of the videos I have watched about finding many such "X's" & other structures in Colorado, Florida, Alabama, Utah, Pennsylvania, plus a number of other states. Check them out if you haven't. First one I suggest would be Colorado Bigfoot with Mark or "The Trail to Bigfoot" in Florida with Chris & Mark, or "Into the Woods With Jeff" out of Penn. Love your Video's & stay safe out there. Call me Gram in Texas.

My 6th great grand father Richard Henderson was part of the Boone explorations. Richard actually (illegally) bought land from the natives. He had gotten into a bit of trouble over that but unfortunately died prematurely before his son, William, settled in what is present day Green County TN. William is my 5th great grand. William ended up marrying the Rev War ver Thomas Morgan’s daughter Lettice. Thomas settled in Camp Creek and is one of 13 men who started the first Tennessee Transmunition Society. So watching all this helps me imagine the time before TN was even a state. Thanks

I hoped you filmed at least 30 minutes of footage from the brook that you can use personally for stress reduction. Actually, I would be you could sell footage like that to companies who do the stress reduction, meditation products as a side income. You get so much unique footage that I would think it would be marketable.

I have wondered if the cumberland gap is for real, or just a creation of Louis Lamour's.great story telling and also were the Sackett clan for real as this area was their transplanted homeland when they migrated from Wales according to mister Lamour.
