Elliott in a scrappy physical game against an opponent that hates you is fraught with danger. If Gravenberch used his frame better he'd be a shoo in. We need physicality married with technique in that midfield that means some combination of Jones, Szoboszlai and Mac Allister. In attack I'd say, play Darwin left wing and Gakpo central. If Gakpo does a good enough Bobby Firmino impression, it should work with Nunez and Salah on either side.

I love it. I just think Harvey will give his 110% all in the merseyside derby … it means more to him than some of the newer players. But I wouldn’t mind seeing Darwin up top next to Gakpo and Salah with Szobo Mac and Endo in the mid.

@@AllRedShow Oh definitely. Elliott is going to leave it all on the field and then some. My issue would be that their midfield is full of big burly 6 footers and since refs generally give the opposition free reign against us, they're gonna have a licence to kill and be delighted to use it. Also I still have memories of him and Carvalho struggling manfully in midfield at Goodison park in 2022. Of course Elliott can to dish it out too. Spirit of the Derby and all that. Who knows. He definitely has grown since then. Gakpo and Darwin interchanging on that left hand side is tantalising to consider. It worked pretty well against Manchester United in that 7:0. 😂 It's a shame the football gods decided we'd gone too far and now winning against them is now impossible 😤

If Darwin had half of Jota's finishing skills... Holy shit, he'd put up Haaland like numbers. If feel like LFC diehards are dying for more reasons to Cheer for agent chaos, but geez... it's hard as hell lately.

Can’t disagree with you. We all love Darwizzy but it has been really hard to be happy with him. He’s gonna need to fix something at his core. Mature a bit maybe.
