Thanks Madam for the wonderful explanation, is there a video on how to do cost benefit analysis?

How can we get an understanding which group of "metro" has the most statistically significant effect out of those 3 ?

To determine which group of "metro" has the most statistically significant effect, we can use the ANOVA table and the post-hoc analysis results

thanks a lot mam for the explanation! `typ` parameter in sm.stats.anova_lm() can take 3 values 1,2 or 3. Can somebody please explain me what is the difference in output when we choose other options let's say 1 or 3 instead of 2?

Thank a lot madam! What I am having trouble with is stating 0 hypothesis. Instead of metros I have levels, and instead of gasoline volume I have a delta between two points. I want my 0 hypothesis be that "delta is no bigger than 2 mm on each level". Using the words of your example, I want to check if gasoline volume differs no bigger than X amount. How do I run ols in statsmodels for that? I'd appreciate if you take a minute to answer me!

If I understand you right, then you are trying to prove using statistical method for a particular sample delta is not greater than 2mm, right? if yes, then it comes under the category of one-sample ttest(for sufficiently large sample size). what you can do is take each group separately and use scipy.stats.ttest_1samp() method for checking it's statistical significance, in it set the alternative parameter as 'less'. Please check the exact syntax in documentation
