I don't know if I have mentioned it before, but OOR was scheduled to tour with LP in the U.S. and Japan on the One More Light tour, but Chester..... 😢 Taka sang "Somewhere I Belong" at Chester's tribute concert. The studio versions of the songs on the ambitions album seriously can't even hold a candle to these live versions man. In my opinion this song is a masterpiece. The composition, the lyrics, Taka's voice... just beautiful. Btw 3% Club hype baby 🤘🤣

stop it *one way ticket* is one of my favorite from ambitions T ︵Ｔ(i think i will keep saying this for almost every song in ambitions because i guess it'ss my favorite album lol) and i couldn't wait for you guys to hear the song and now you did i feel so wholesome in a way 😂 A quick story i only got into OOR somewhere along the release of ambitions that's why it is important to me. And YES TALK ABOUT THE LYRICSSS i know it's meant to be for your significant other or something but for me it literally scream one way ticket home (as in family). I'm currently studying quite far away from home and whenever I'm on a road trip somehow this song always came up in my spotify shuffle 😂 (and also bcs i used to sleep with my family hence the empty bed felt too real). So even though the studio version is more "lively" i would say, i cried so many times because of it and i just wanna go home as soon as possible. As far as i loved to be in the 3% club i would love the club to increase the member not only 3% but higher! You guys deserved it!

I really think you need to listen to "Take What You Want" both audio and live version next. That song is similar live to this, in that it's slow and drawn out.
The album version of One Way Ticket isn't so slow. That's why lives are more interesting, with variations. Even the last 2 lines "I'm coming home~~" which feels poignant weren't in the original version.

congratulations on reaching 5,000 subscribers 🥳 crossing my fingers that your manager will still allow you guys to go to oor's melbourne concert! I finally got to see oor live for the first time almost exactly one year ago after missing them 6 times previously and believe me when i say that they will exceed all your expectations and there's no experience quite like a oor live. they have 3 different live arrangements for 'one way ticket' - ambitions japan tour, dome tour, and orchestra tour - but this one is by far my favourite version. there's something about the slow, melancholic start that really matches the message of the song (more so than the poppier sound of the other arrangements imo), and then with the build up and into the rock ending? you can almost see a movie scene unfolding in your mind of the protagonist determinedly making their way home. re: the fun side of oor, i think it definitely plays into how much people love this band. like beyond their music that speaks to people and their passion on stage, it's also the bond between the band members and seeing them being dorky humans like the rest of us that endears oor to us.
