I use so many of these tricks which I've learnt in some way from your videos - but I'm going to work on the contexts component more I think. I have ADHD so find I'll often have a mish-mash in my brain of all my tasks across contexts when it's not actually useful to be thinking about them - like worrying about work emails when it's outside of appropriate hours to reply, or about family things when I'm in the middle of a work deadline. I think segmenting everything out by context, and also adding that dollar value will really help! On that note, better get off RU-vid and literally write that book chapter that's due tomorrow!

I think an extension that blocks the suggested videos on youtube would really help me. That's one of my main time sucks. I'd never thought about "high effort, high impact projects" vs "high effort, but low impact projects", but I feel like it will help me figure out what to prioritize more.

Good luck to anyone with ADHD out there. I tried to do all of this during my first two years of university and I had to drop out. It was so difficult to me because I only had the energy to keep up with one or two things at a time, and I still failed a lot of the time. These videos always pump me up and motivate me and then I always fail even when I try my best to implement everything. No shade to Muchelle tho, I love her content, it is not her fault that I found it so difficult to cope. Just a shoutout to other ADHDers, I'm with all of you. It's so difficult and I'm sorry.

Hello, my fellow ADHDer! I would suggest How to ADHD here on youtube. Excellent suggestions for us, no unreachable goals and a good pinch of irony... which, as I see it, is the only way to survive ADHD 😂

My most common distractions during a work day (working from home) are my obsessive-going around in circles-depressive thoughts about all the things that are wrong in my life and crying about them/getting exhausted from them. In an office with other people, I can keep it together, and the only real distraction is colleagues, but sometimes it is nice, plus there are always headphones.

Just what I needed! I've got a spreadsheet of doom to complete on Monday and I've been putting it off for a month... But also like, my team needed all hands on deck today to sort something out so we don't get hundreds of emails on Monday. Just really hope my boss doesnt get too mad with me on Monday in our one to one, but also I think I need to just level with her and be like "hey so I am unbelievably overwhelmed and have never been this busy in my life" *dies in people pleasing * D: In other news, I've found putting my phone in the other room and having the ring tone on as loud as it will go really helps with that "what's going on in there?" feeling. And actually scheduling in tea breaks - that way I can move and keep myself awake and hydrated and fuelled, but also I can scratch that phone checking itch. I've also taken it upon myself to take like 2 weeks to observe my habits and then taken the rest of January to experiment with techniques to keep me focussed and on track (and more importantly out of the fridge... I love a good bored grazing session). Turns out that those 8 hour long study session music videos, particularly rainy cafe with soft jazz and soft ambience keeps me focussed for HOURS. Like I looked up and it was dark kind of hours. WHILE DOING A SPREADSHEET. Magic, honestly. Also for uni - Stay Focussed was a fantastic resource for blocking fun internet times for myself. Just be careful you don't block yourself out of the journal search engines you actually need... Hope this helps someone who may be running out of ideas to keep themselves productive and sat at their desk haha

I just started using my life map daily THIS WEEK and this was one of the biggest challenges for me. when thinking of my priority for the day, it is so hard so not write down busy to dos that I have to do, and instead actually do some meaningful work, like finishing a course that I know will improve my resume and create more opportunities for me in the future. thank you so much for this video!

Wonderful video, thank you! I recently have been provided two new team members at work, on junior to me and one senior. Since they are both newer to the account than me, I am charged with splitting up the work. This was super helpful, especially in the area of time multipliers and adding a dollar value. Since we literally have hourLy values, it’s helpful to me to delegate lower priorities or time consuming tasks to my junior team member but highly urgent or important tasks to my senior.

I like the time multiplier concept. I use the effort system that you havw integrated into the notion pack and it helps me put some stuff into perspective. If it’s high effort but low impact I don’t feel bad about putting it off in favor of something more important. I also love planning for distractions. I think some if/then planning can help. For example, if someone wants to chat while I’m working I’ll say this. This helps you have a plan and not get sucked into a time waster because you didn’t know how to stop it.

I noticed that you have lipstick on your teeth, and still posted those scenes. And we all LOVED the video, no one cares about the small stuff. As a budding RU-vidr, you posting those scenes inspires me SO MUCH, because I focus on small things that don't matter and try to make my videos super perfect. I'm realizing that perfection does not matter. What matters is the quality of the content and owning the small things that don't go the way you planned. You're a queen Muchelle, and you inspire me in more ways than you know ❤️

I love your master to do list in the notion pack. It's leveled up my life significantly!! Having one place for everything but also the ability to categorize/prioritize it helps so much. I can see everything all at once or break it down to errands I need to run, phone calls to make, appointment to schedule, etc. and with the click of a check box make it high priority. Life changing!!!! I'm so excited for my life map weekly. **Though I have a question, are the life map daily and life map weekly designed to work together? Is there a benefit of one over the other? I definitely had a hard time choosing but ultimately went with the weekly version because of all the added benefits in the pre-purchase including the notion pack which is awesome!! And also for the fact that sometimes I don't always have the ability to track things on a daily basis so I figured that having the weekly gave me more room for flexibility day to day. Not sure if you've already planned this but a video comparing and contrasting the two planners would be soooo awesome! Or even just showing how you envisioned them both being used. Love your content, you've really had a major impact on my life this year!!!

Hi everyone! Quick question to muchelle and everyone else: Does anyone else have a book recommendation for me? I currently feel like my attention span is soooo so short because of Social Media and the constant flow of information that surrounds me - it really makes it difficult for me to focus on just one thing at a time. Is there a book out there that helps with that sort of stuff? I was thinking about starting to meditate as I guess that would help my brain to calm down, but I know myself and without some "proof" or written motivation I'll never stick to it, haha.

This is a common struggle. For my clients I host a 30 min weekly reset every Friday and guide them through reviewing the past week and planning the next week. I set a 10 min timer for each one and we then we share how our week went and what our priorities are for the coming week. Do you have a friend you could do a similar thing with? Hope on Zoom for 30 minutes once a week, set a timer, and plan together?
