Brad, 15 years of personal lines insurance experience here. Make sure you check with your agent or your policy term. Almost all HO3 forms (standard homeowner insurance contract) include a percent of coverage A (main dwelling) as coverage b (other structures), typically 10%. meaning if you have your home insured for $1,000,000, automatically you have $100,000 for other structures like detached garages, sheds, or even chicken coops and greenhouses!

You feel bad because you know Brad has the means to get it done himself……..but you also recognize that he’s offering the organization publicly and that’s priceless. Most people have to chainsaw the trees up into manageable rounds and stack them to eventually get them removed…..Brad just piles them and Asks Flair to move them with the Volvo …..which makes it WAY easier. Everybody wins, …. Brad gets his brush piles moved quickly, and Andrew gets an excuse to keep the excavator when Macy starts to question it :)

Awesome people! Humanity at its best. And I know what you mean Brad when you say you feel bad being helped when others may be worse off. And feeling that way shows that you're a good person. But, It really doesn't matter what you have, your family deserves some help also. I was born and raised in Florida, so I've been in and have dealt with many hurricanes and the massive destruction and clean up afterward, and the people that get to me are the ones who are very wealthy and they come out on day one angry that they are not receiving help with clean-up first. The very entitled ones who don't care about anyone but themselves. It may sound crazy, but I feel sorry for them the most because what they have lost within themselves is worse than any material things that may be lost.

My heart just sank when I heard that you were in that massive tornado,I thank God that you and your family are safe and uninjured,I cried tears of joy when I seen that volunteers came to help you clean up the damage, you are a humble man who has spent his whole life working and doing for others, and men like you find it hard to accept help when it comes to your own needs,a true blessing in your hour of need.God bless you and all the men who came to the aid of their community.

Brad, this video had me misty-eyed at a few points. I'm very grateful that the community where you live is as wonderful as you and your family are. It is evident by the folks that are there helping, that Omaha is a pretty special place full of some pretty special people. I bet you have a good idea who to toss a few landscaping jobs to once things are back to normal, although that likely feels a loooooong way off. I don't know if any of the folks who helped you out are going to see this video, but if they do and they read these comments, I want to thank them myself. Here I am in Alberta, Canada but getting to know Brad over the last couple of years has been a true pleasure. He is genuinely a good man, business owner, dad, grandpa, neighbour and hubby. He is often going out of his way to enrich the lives of others, whether it is his family, crew, clients and friends here on his channel who have grown to respect and appreciate him a great deal. Thank you for going out of your way to help him and his family with the clean-up. You are honourable, genuine people. Another point, Brad, is the fact that you mentioned that you felt badly that these guys were there to help you. The lawn crew said it well when they said that it is the right thing to do is to help others when they have the know-how, equipment and ability to do so. If there is one thing I've learned since becoming disabled to the extent I am is everyone needs a shoulder, an ear and a helping hand from time to time. It's how you accept the help and repay it or pay it forward later that is most important. You do so many good things for people; please don't ever feel unworthy of accepting a bit of help in return. You know how good you feel when you can help others who need it. Why do you feel you are not worthy of that same treatment? You are! Think of it as you are providing those folks with that same good feeling knowing they did a good thing for someone else. They'll go home at the end of the day and sleep well knowing they contributed to the relief efforts following such a devastating time. Stay strong, Brad, family, volunteers, neighbours, friends... heck I wish Nebraska the very best. I'm so sorry you had this happen, but please know that this old gal in Alberta is thinking of you often and praying that everyone is okay in the end. Remember... stuff is stuff. People matter. xo Heather🇨🇦
