One week to the eclipse and why weve not been flying for a while. 

Join me on an adventure not involving ballooning but celestial! About ballooning it's been very difficult and disappointing to get any flying weather, it has been the wettest winter on record since 1886 apparently! There are only a handful of pilots in UK who have managed to get flown!
Now onto the eclipse!
On April 8th 2024 there will be a total solar eclipse through Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana Michigan, Ohio Pennsylvania, New York, Ontario before filtering out over Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. The eclipse path or "Umbra" of the moon is only 119 miles wide and you need to be within that swath to witness totality, outside that margin there will only be a partial eclipse. Let us hope together that the weather is clear and I can share with you all the greatest show not on earth!
