One Week Until We Give Birth! *What’s In Our Hospital Bag!*

Tips for baby: -whens he's born have a lot of skin to skin and just keep him in his diaper - take out the nike fits its not good to dress a newborn who just came out the belly in zippers or anything less comfy than an soft pj's onesie - with the onesies get a soft hat that usually comes with onesie and mittens or just get mittens, hats, & socks (not the Nike or jordan hat) - get a tiny towel for when he spits - julius needs to let Destiny pick out the baby fits for the hospital because she's looking for comfort over drip and that's what the baby needs during that time, you can dress him up after he's home for a couple days or a week -dont forget towels for yourself for after you shower unless the hospital provides them

I just gave birth 2 weeks ago and my bag looked like yours! Honestly you don’t need 90% of the stuff you packed! Hospital provides all of the postpartum healing stuff that you showed and you get to even take it all home after, even nipple cream! Take advantage of everything they give you because you go through so much when you get home. You’ll need just your clothes, toiletries, baby’s clothes to come home in and TAKE YOUR BOPPY. THose pillows are good but the boppy helped with stuffing it behind me on the bed when I was feeding her because the hospital beds suck! The chapstick needs to be on hand 24/7..for some reason your lips get so dry. For the pacifier, they’ll advise you not to give him one until 2 weeks unless you’re going to strictly do formula Make sure that you take home as many swaddle blankets from the hospital as you can! They’re so good, I can’t explain it. Also try to have Julius take a blanket that he was swaddled in home for diggy to start the introducing part ❤️

I’ve had 4 C-Sections. No it doesn’t burn down there. But a TIP.. use clean a maxi pad for your scar. It literally SAVED me from the pain of underwear & clothing rubbing against my scar. (Ask your doctor first.. I’m not a expert) A nurse gave me this tip and this truly helped me every time 💜

I brought a longer gown with me when I went in to have my daughter and it was such a lifesaver. If you give vaginal birth you aren’t going to want anything touching down there if you don’t have to. Definitely bring extra pads/depends with you because the pads the hospital gives you are so uncomfortable that I can’t even put it into words. The witch hazel pads and the spray were a LIFESAVER for me. I honestly don’t think I could’ve handled it without those 2 things. They make a HUGE difference. You guys did a great job packing.

Destiny try and get some premature sized clothes in cause he's a bit smaller, as well as those white vests to wear under the rompers, and more clothes for the baby please.

Bring lots of comfy jammies and lots of undershirts. The under shirts really help keep babies diaper in place I found.

I'm so happy for Julius and Destiny, they are so good to each other and I know they will be just as good parents and I pray Destiny feels stress-free and positive through her labor and delivery experience! That goes for anyone reading this who might be pregnant as well!

TIP: for footwear I would take sandals you won’t miss. Just walking around in hospital during this pandemic I threw my sandals out. Then I’m the type who leaves my shoes at the door and put my inside shoes on 🤷🏻‍♀️

The moms on here are on your side Des! Those outfits are cute, but he has plenty of time to wear them. Babies actually really don't need clothes the first couple of days just their diaper and lots of warm snuggles with mama and papa to let him know you're there to protect and love him.

When I had my baby, the only thing I really purchased myself was the Always brand underwear pads which are the best things to exist! But everything else like the squeeze bottle, freezer pads and whatnot I used from the hospital and it did the job, no complaints!!! It’s not necessary to buy everything on your own when it’s supplied to you (for anyone that is wondering or curious if it’s not good to use) and you can take extras with you home!! The only thing I didn’t like that the hospital provided was the underwear pads. Everything else worked like a charm👌🏼👌🏼

I definitely recommend peppermint essential oils! It helps with nausea! Julius and you could use it while you are giving birth, a lot of men throw up when they see birth happening so I recommend the peppermint essential oil to smell to help with that and if you are feel nauseous as well
