One year ago, I moved from Nigeria to Canada to join my spouse. My honest opinion about life in Canada is birthed from my unfiltered experiences which I have shared in this video.
I had a lot of first times that became second times and then third times and has all together summed up to form my overall experience and perspective about Canada in the past one year. It’s been such an amazing journey and my heart is filled with gratitude to God

That communication with friends especially when you’re abroad is tough!!! I don’t get to hear a lot of things especially that finding out things via WhatsApp Status is very painful… I remember a colleague that I thought we were cool, all of a sudden I stopped seeing her WhatsApp status and I had to reach out. I was pained but yeah we move! Your points are so valid. Everyone’s relationship with God in the abroad will be tested, but we will triumph. One thing that has helped me is inculcating listening to messages on the bus or while cooking. This is so relatable. Well done 👏 🤗

That GOD part, I totally agree with you 💯, you have to be very intentional, its until I traveled out of Africa one time that I understood why alot of pple abroad dont feel the need to pray. That friendship thing, some of my friends try to put shedules for calls once in a while and I try as much as I can to extend grace and hold on for as long as I can. I am in Canada now and making friends is a hastle, here, people are more closed off and not open to new friendships. I will continue to pray for God to send me Godly friends. Also about, serving God abroad, you are absolutely right. You know if you really want to serve God when you move abroad.
