Mr. Patinkin, I owe you a big thank you. A few years ago you gave a concert In Daytona Beach. My husband and I bought tickets for our wedding anniversary. As it turned out they were the very last seats on the balcony. Disappointing but at least we were there. Well the most extraordinary thing happened. After the second or third song you stopped every thing and you told us, in the furthest seats, to come down and take the front VP chairs that were empty. You turn a disappointing evening into a dream. Not only that but you also sang my favorite song, the song you sang so brilliantly in Chicago Hope. Again many thanks for one of my most memorable evening.
My everlasting memory of Mr. Mandy Patinkin was from the early 90s, when I saw him perform at the state theater in NJ. I was in my mid 20s and I believe myself and my husband (at the time) were probably the youngest in the crowd. Somewhere in the middle of the performance a woman towards the front began coughing, for a bit of time, and Mr. Patinkin called out and asked theater staff to get her some water. What was so obvious was that it wasn’t about getting her water so that it wouldn’t interrupt his show, but rather because he was concerned about her. That has stayed with me ever since. What a caring, kind-hearted person....a Mensch! Almost 30 years later it’s obvious those qualities remain.
Absolutely! the last year my husband worked 2week shifts on and off so he was home half time. We are so blessed he still had his income but mostly we are grateful we became best friends. I hope we all find abundance health and peace through this “second” phase of a worldwide pandemic 💗💗
Omg, your parents are hilarious. Love how they relate to you and you them. Can we see you too? I know it's not the point but it would please some need for visual representation...that I have. Thanks for brightening my day and tell your mom to keep up the feisty progressiveness. Blessings
Some Jimmy Stewart stammering going on there. So loving and honest. Hey...gathering my thoughts. You can only calmly fall into someone else’s arms like that, if there is complete trust.
love your jacket/ cardigan, Kathryn .. gorgeous on you !!! and you are so incredibly blessed to have each other , and laugh as much as you can ❤️❤️i lost my hubby after 26 years together , and just feel so "homesick " for that easy comfort ( even in the fights lol) that you have with each other .. enjoy it all ( i know you do ).... 💜💜thanks for these incredible videos !!!
Friday 23rd of April will be 23 years since my late husband and I met for the first time. It is also international book day and Saint George or San Jordi in Catalonia which is celebrated by women gifting men with books and men gifting women with roses. My husband and I did it the other way round, he always gifted me a book, I always gifted him a rose. This year I’ll buy a book and a rose and leave them on a bench for someone to pick up
I am very sorry for your loss. How fortunate you were to have that kind of relationship. Leaving s book and a rose for someone to find a such a lovely idea. I hope you also left a note explaining the reason and the meaning.
I have been a Mandy Patinkin admirer for a long time. I confess I've never seen Princess Bride, though I pretend I have and I know the signature line from the movie. It was the Chicago Hope gig for me, where he took off his pants to pace because the swishing sound his pants made was too distracting. Since then it's been other things, but what sticks out most in my mind is the Dead Like Me stuff. I have been married nearly as long as you guys and am 54 years old (I am a female red typewriter) and I think my entire family knows I am a Mandy Patinkin fan. It has been SO GREAT to watch you guys together and know that Mandy is a happy, loved guy in his real life. I took such joy from these videos--they have been a gift. Keep on doing your thing. It looks great on you both and you are both truly delightful. Had I known you were married to this fabulous creature and had I been exposed to her, Mandy, I'd have still been your fan but I'm afraid you might have taken a backseat to her in my estimation. You keep on with your boom stick or whatever the hell that thing is, Ms. Kathryn, and if you don't want to be filmed without your lipstick, so shall it be. All the best to you both.
I simply can’t get enough of this. Epic joy, humor, and love and the children of this couple are so very lucky. I understand now how he is such an excellent actor. Thank you again for these videos!
Love the new outdoors look. Out of the hiking....look. Mandy, what would you call this new look? Flannel, black jeans and tuque look. It fits you well. Forever young.
Happy Anniversary! I think 'first date' anniversaries are more special than wedding anniversaries. The first page of a book, so to speak. Also, that last sentence was the understatement of all understatements!
Viewing a glimpse of the loving and authentic relationship between two such talented, intelligent and hilarious individuals makes me want to age forward. Carry on !
I so love when they talk at the same time. What great people they are and an amazing couple. Happy Anniversary! I watched the walk of fame clip. I hope Mandy writes his memoir soon please!!! Then narrates it himself on Audible. He is a person of great depth and should share his story. Please!
After I posted this I saw an actors interview where he stated he is not a writer and his life stories are private. He shares himself through his work. I so love and respect this man. He does share his philosophy and world view through interviews. This guy is the real deal. BRAVO.
Congratulations on your 43rd anniversary! We celebrate our 33rd in a few weeks! It’s so good to see folk who made vows honor them! Also give your sons the continued love of their folks being together.
@MANDY PATINKIN Hello and happy Sunday. I am from the capital of Michigan - Lansing area. It's a beautiful day here, sunny with a chill in the air and the flowering trees are blossoming. You and your wife are a joy to watch. Life with the one you love should be like that with warm teasing and happy knowing smiles. Do you think you might go back on tour your once things are in a safer realm? I've only seen you two or three times in concert and that , quite frankly is not enough. I hope you are enjoying your day. Blessings-Judith 🎵🎭
@MANDY PATINKIN Probably email or phone. I'm not on Instagram or twitter or anything like that. I'm afraid I'm old school and my daughter isn't here to pull me into this century yet. (Ha-ha). I am trying to see if my brother could introduce me to instagram sometime. Am I the only one late to the party? Judith🎵🎭
I’ve just found these videos and I can’t stop watching them. I moved out of my parents home in mid-2019 and haven’t seen them much after because of covid. These videos remind me of being around family, and it brings a lot of joy!
Love this! My hubby and I will be married 43 years in June. We also have two sons (in their 30s). So much of this amuses me. Son # 1 is fully vaccinated, son #2 has had shot #1. Looking forward to larger family gatherings. Sending good health to all of you.
@MANDY PATINKIN We live outside of Philly. My husband was a theater teacher and local actor before retirement. I am a recently retired art teacher. We've been fans of yours since "Evita". Missing Broadway and all live performance! Philly has good theater too.
I just love you both ❤️. Big kisses and hugs from Australia. May you both come for a visit down under and you can stay at my house. I've been a fan of Mandy's work for years but Katherine...what a treasure and a find you are. You're just what the world needs post Trumpcopolypse. What system of governmentt doesn't vet presidential candidates before they slide into people's lives?
I agree, you make it into the 40th anniversaries you truly feels like your marriage is an accomplishment! Your commitment is stronger than ever, you feel secure, you annoy each other, you argue but you know that’s just the way we are...so you roll with the punches because you’ve seen it before...you begin to know when to 🦆 ❣️
Ohh Gawd...you two just made my day...more like..my decade. Hubby & i were a Lot like you it seems....but, then..i lost him 3 yrs ago from a sudden..sinus infection......we only had a Very Short 23 years together.........still trying to remember how to breathe on my own
@MANDY PATINKIN from N.C. , just moved here from home state of Fla. You are always outstanding in ANY movie, tv show or play you are in. Had a crush on you in Yentl. lol. Your drama teachers probably like to take credit ! Your wife is lovely.
