Can’t believe it’s been a year since I started following your SG adventures. Time flies when you’re enjoying yourself. One thing I hate is expats treating locals disrespectfully……I’m an expat myself and will call out fellow expats if they behave badly. We are all humans and deserve the be treated with respect and be respectful to other. Keep up the great videos and can’t wait for the next one.

another options is u can open another a/c with either UOB or OCBC, then u can do a online transfer to your other bank a/c if u happen to c long Q when u wanted to draw money from it. usually DBs tends to have longer Q compare to the UOB , OCBC simply bcos most of us hold an a/c with posb since our childhood sch day

You are too kind to suggest two hands to hand cash. :) to be honest, we locals don’t ever do that when paying as customers… it’s only practiced the other way round when cashiers receive cash. So don’t worry about it really. Nobody gets offended… we don’t pay with two hands and don’t think about it, except maybe when paying to elderly hawkers as a gesture of extra respect.

Now this is a very good video. Very concise and almost wide ranging. Kudos to you both. Perhaps you may consider including, in your next video, your work experience (not necessary completely connected with your profession) and bring Milo & Aspen to school. I think this will almost complete the whole introduction. I've also suggested fellow RU-vidrs (Rob and Jenny) to get in contact with you, hope they are watching this. This is definitely helpful to all who are thinking of coming here. Congrats and stay safe. Have a nice weekend ahead!!!

Hi folks, excellent video. I have a few specific questions and I hope you could answer these. I'd really appreciate it if you do. I'm planning to move to Singapore with my dog. Just me and my dog. He's a big boy. Weighs 40 kilos to be precise. Please recommend a neighborhood that is dog friendly, that has 2 or 3 doggy daycares in the area, and that is in the MRT line to Asia square. I want to drop my dog at the daycare by walk and take the MRT / bus to the office everyday. I don't mind commuting 30-45 mins one way so long as I get to sit and work during the commute. Plus, I'd prefer to live in a suburb hopefully away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Please advise.
@WONDERLUSTworld
@WONDERLUSTworld 2 года назад
Hey there! I’ve asked on my Instagram so hopefully a few dog owners will get in touch as I don’t have much knowledge of that, not having a dog ourselves. I’ll get back to you. 😊 As a start East Coast park is very dog friendly, but doesn’t currently have an easy MRT line but you can bus to a station. Asia square seems to be near all the MRT lines so that opens out more options for you

Lucky heights - a friend of ours who has a dog recommended this condo. It’s easy coast which is lovely for dog walking. Robertson quay - a popular restaurant and bar area. Hope that helps a bit to start you off.

I don't really give money with both hands, funny to hear ppl mention we do that (maybe more for the older gen or Japanese ppl?). For namecards, yes, but I won't find using 1 hand to be rude. As for the person being very rude to you, I do find many hawkers/etc can be extremely rude to me as well, probably a mix of working work long hours for low wages, not the best upbringings and big egos. Usually, I just walk away and don't buy from them if they are nasty. Many ppl can be very selfish and nasty/big egos, think this quite common in big cities (New York/SG/HK/Paris/Shanghai).
