I think his ego got the best of him by draft time. It's hard to root for a guy like that.

Would be more of a concern had anyone else from the draft class done anything at all. Seems the whole group struggled or deferred their rookie season making this year’s (playing) rookie class incredibly strong. Would be worried if he can make the team in the fall, though

Expectations are too high in his case, just let him develop he has to prove he belongs to the nhl then starting to produce on a regular basis. We’re not there yet.

As a caps / hershey bears fan i cam say shane wright was the scariest player on the ice during the bears cup run. Kraken is nuts if they don't use him over say sprong

The Luke vs Brayden Schenn scrap in the video was a fun touch. And as for wrights development, it's important to remember it's an expansion team and their system is still a work in progress. It's likely the guys in Windsor have more experience dealing with guys like him than the guys in Coachella valley. As weird as it is it's probably exposing him to some very experienced player development guys

I watched Wright with Coachella Valley in the AHL Playoffs and he showed flashes of a good game. His passing was especially good, but he should have made more of an impact. I'm pretty sure if he won't be back in the AHL next season because he's not going to make the Kraken IMHO.

People are making too big a deal of Wright not playing in the nhl last year. The Kraken have a ton of depth at center, if he were on almost any other team he would have slotted in on the third or fourth line.

If they sent him back to Europe under his own devices how would that have gone. The kept him inn Montreal and shut him down early- cause his year was disappointing Now he is coming around after 92 games SEATTLE Does not have to deal with prying Media Wright can marinate on his own time They have not burnt ELC SO when he does come up and become productive they are paying him ELC MONEY
