Attachment to your inner mind!!!! Oh, that hit so deep and resonates with me in my journey on getting on antidepressants. Omg, Dulce, you're so courageous, and you are an eloquent and clear voice for those of us who've struggled eit perpetual angst and depression. ❤❤❤

Thank you so much for sharing something so personal about yourself and what you’ve struggled with. That’s very courageous and admirable. I can relate to everything you shared to the tee!! It is so comforting knowing we’re not alone and that it’s okay to help yourself whatever that looks like. I’ve watched your channel for years probably before 2016-2017 and never knew you were going through this. I truly felt like I related to you like never before and I’m so grateful for you. Keep doing what you’re doing you never know who you are helping because you sure helped me. God Bless you and may our Lord continue to direct your paths as you put your trust in him.

I’m on 10mg lexapro (for anxiety not depression) and every doctor has recommended me to taper off once I quit - not to quit cold Turkey. It was strongly advised to me that tapering off is the best way to get off otherwise you will experience exactly what Dulce experienced - withdrawals. If I go one day without taking the pill I’ll start to feel anxious or negative thoughts after 24hour but I recognize why. I started taking this because I struggle with anxiety and had some big life changes. I probably plan to be on this for a few years bc my life transitions have been a lot and I’m prone to perfectionism and anxiety and overthinking. I haven’t found that complete balance yet but on this medication I’ve been doing much much better and see it as a temporary fix while I try to implement natural methods of diet exercise mindset and overall health into my life.

How long did take for lexapro to kick in. And with your anxeity did you have loss of sleep? I might have to get on meds for this.

You have come a long way from your closet when you were in the Army. It is beautiful to see. I also love that you're on your spiritual Journey with God. I promise he will reveal himself to you and everything will make sense. Many years ago I was on Effexor for 4 months and got off cold turkey. It was horrible! However, I believe that when you get off you have to give yourself time to feel the withdrawal symptoms. Your body is detoxing from the chemicals. You'll feel it all once again but then you'll come back to balance. Also, sadness, weeping, Pain, and so on are natural feelings. It's what reminds us we are alive. If we are perfectly happy and content and in control of everything all the time, when will we ever rely on God?

I too struggled with anxiety mainly my whole life even as a child. I would have these breathing episodes and always thought it was asthma attacks but they actually were panic attacks. I’ve always been very spiritual and connected to God and I will say that has helped me stay off meds until this past year I started getting extreme panic attacks that inhibited me from living a normal life with my kids. I would get them randomly throughout the day and couldn’t breath. God always being so close to my heart I felt a tug to get medical help. I too am on the lowest dose for anxiety and my life has substantially increased. It’s been a month and it is amazing how much has improved in my life. I’m also in therapy and doing a lot of my inner work from my childhood. I know it is an aide to help me get through this time in my life not forever but it shouldn’t be looked down upon it can help change someone’s life. Religion / Faith can’t cure all genetic mental illnesses unfortunately.

After 12 years I was able to get off of medication. I tried multiple times. I will say you should always work with your dr, unlike myself that tappered way too quickly and had many struggles. I’m happy to be off and though I still have hard times I’m learning new ways to live through meditation, herbs, naturopathic medicine, and psychotherapy. I know medication has helped in the past and I can always go back if I need but I also know how hard it is to go off. I also think dr are quick to hand out pills when we aren’t focused on the person as whole.

I was on and off lexapro for a few years and I was also trying to conceive. Doctor said if I get pregnant I have to ween off of them. I started feeling better so I got off of them and now years later I’m back to square one. I am so anxious and depressed. It’s hard for me to even keep a job at the moment because of the way I feel. I am an over thinker and I am very hard on myself. I also had a traumatic childhood which I feel is the reason for my anxiety also trying to conceive for many many years hasn’t helped at all either. I am getting closer to god and working out everyday. I do feel like I have a purpose and I do feel like things will get better soon ❤

I used to take antidepressants. I stopped needing them when I prayed to Jesus more ✨💕 he heard me when I was really hopeless once again. I officially had a reason to stop taking them when I got pregnant. Don’t give up 💕 I believe in a healthy spirit and mind, stopped the desire to take medicine and would rather see what God says about it.. don’t get me wrong, sometimes Medicine is helpful, just know there’s hope

I was told to limit or avoid alcohol when I was on medication. Alcohol makes you depressed anyways so it counter acts the medication. If you do drink I would suggest only 1-2 max or check with your dr.

Look into hormonal balancing foods and supplements. When I was studying psychology (a long time ago) the FIRST thing they taught us was to look at vitamin B supplementation as this was a starting point for mental issues. Doesn't cost much so doctors don't make money out of it. Also most people are deficient in vitamin D (which is actually a hormone) and we NEED 10, 000iu per 10kgs of body weight every day, and more if you're overweight. It takes 7 days before you reach an ok level. The hormone balancing herb Ashwaganda is also incredible. So, High dose vitamin B, Vitamin D, and Ashwaganda. Try each one for a week on its own first and take notes on how it's working.
@darlingdior

@@peacefulsleep7052 I am probabaly deficient in all of those. I don't get outside at all cause I don't have anyone to go do outdoorsey stuff with, and I am overweight due to my knee surgeries I had. What kind of Vitamin B should I take? I know theres different numbers linked to them lol

I can say the same, I processed and dealt with everyone in an emotional way. It was always sad to say bye, let go, and I’d get attached to what was so surface level for the average person. Now with meds, I think I let go of it completely. I also deal with hiding that I take meds or I don’t want to tell anyone what I go through. It’s very personal. You look and sound amazing Dulce 🧡🥹
