Try Amsoil's Quick Shot. It's triple-action: Addresses ethanol suspension, fuel stabilization, and CLEANING!

I've used some of that in my Jeep. It really does work!

The reason they recommend e free is for the carbs life and the mpgs on the water. The tohastu is a mercury btw so parts should interchange between the 2 if i remember correctly. Been missing the videos but im back again!
@BlackWarriorLures
@BlackWarriorLures 5 месяцев назад
Glad to have you back. Yeah, Mercury uses Tohatsu power heads on mid and portable outboards. The foot and body shells are totally different. Also there is no carburetor, just a throttle body.
@rncboy2

Completely forgot you have the new efi lol was wondering on the foot since I haven't personally work on one yet wasn't sure if they was the same or not new the power heads was the same. Anyway very interesting video that lil 20hp scoots. Definitely be back for future videos.

@@rncboy2 Yeah, it scoot right along. All these new motors are amazing. One thing I forgot is they don't weigh as much you might think either.

If you add sea foam periodically no need for ethanol free, owe 6 hp tohatsu, use 91 octane never had issues since then

I don't know. It's time to bring it in for a service, though.

Well, this was shot on a GoPro Hero 11 with a flat picture profile, color graded with the Panasonic vintage lookup table from the Varicam. I also shoot with a Z-cam E2C cinema camera with vintage Canon FD lenses.

@BlackWarriorLures i see, thanks for sharing, does z-cam produced better image than go pro?
@BlackWarriorLures

@@ia6980 Oh, yes, it does! It's a true cinema camera, but it's a lot harder to work. I should do a comparison and contrast video between the two.

Question please, i transport tohatsu 20hp on proper side, tiller down side, and second time oil been flooding cylinders and locking starter. Why is this happening? I mean road can be windy and different change in slope when riding my car, but its laying on proper side, by the time I come to fishing spot, theres ton of oil leaked out and motor doesn't start, so frustrating, i just bought this motor and already having issues. Any suggestions?
@BlackWarriorLures
@BlackWarriorLures Месяц назад
Hmm, yes, tiller side down is the proper way to transport it. I've transported it and had zero problems. Something is definitely wrong. How much oil did you put in the motor? The tech at Backwoods Landing told me to use exactly one quart of oil no more. Get on the horn with Tohatsu USA. Sounds like something is wrong. www.tohatsu.com/marine/na/ Did you buy this from a dealer?
@BlackWarriorLures
@BlackWarriorLures Месяц назад
The only other thing I can think of is if your going off road to get to your spots, and you're having to go in extreme off camber of downward tilt, that could spell the difference between split oil and unspilt. My motor lives on the back of the boat, I have transported it once to Huntsville on the proper side with no problems. That interstate travel for a 100 miles or so. You may need to prop up the powerhead side up slightly if the roads you travel have severe slopes.' Otherwise, I'd be on the horn with Tohatsu USA. I hate you're having problems with this motor. I've had nothing but good luck with it.

Some owners of this outboard stated that it doesn't start from first p u l l is that the case with yours?
@BlackWarriorLures
@BlackWarriorLures 3 месяца назад
Yes, the manual states it's designed to start on the second pull.

3 gallon how long it lasts?
@BlackWarriorLures
@BlackWarriorLures 2 месяца назад
Usually two trips. It literally burns about half the gas of the old two-stroke motors. and the y make a six-gallon tank if you want or need the gas. Too big of a tank means you'll end up running old gas most of the time. This corn liquor gas they make here is the states just doesn't last more than three weeks. You'd be better off getting a NATO Jerry can for extra fuel.
