Among raid bosses, Nezzy here seems to put forth the most consistent effort. Ahamkara just sorta shoves you around until it realizes "Oh, shit, I'm about to die." Rhulk literally goes on a leisurely stroll during his fight, so he pretty much throws it due to hubris until realizing you can actually kill him. Oryx just fuckin SITS there, some king he is. Meanwhile, Nezarac is basically just an unhinged blind man with a planet-destroying weapon and the build of somebody who's mom was a refrigerator, and who's dad was a rock em sock em robot. Sure, he still isn't going full power, but he puts forth the most effort from start to finish.
I think a lot of people sleep on the fact that this isn't even Nezarec at his full power during the raid. He says as much during the walk to him, mentioning that if he had even a "Modicum of his original power" he would have hastened our arrival by just killing people. Him saying a Modicum is important because that implies the ability for him to just outright kill people at a distance from Earths orbit to Neptune like that would only require a small portion of his original strength.
I imagine Rhulk wasn't going full power cause he wanted to have fun with his new body, I believe he would be able to easily wipe us out if he used his Void powers fully, but alas the dad bod was too good for him
Nothing will slap harder than nezarec on contest… across the arena and he’d sometimes decide to just snipe you with that cleave. When lfg teams go this boss is a joke I always say you think that he wasn’t always this weak
@@davidlanceescandor1310 yeah me and 3 other friends done it with 2 lfgs some of them tho just aren’t let’s say game smart. You may call bs on this but one guy specifically joined and said he’s using xeno who has Wolfpack rounds to make it do more damage.
Hearing this over and over again doing the all hands challenge was great but Nezarac being so lore accurate when it comes to one shoting fucking pissed me off so much AND WHY THE FUCK CAN I SHOOT THROUGH THIS MANS ARMPIT OR THROUGH HIS LEGS BUNGIE THE FUCK BUNGIE THAT SHOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE this shit made me cry for 2 days doing that all hands challenge on master 😭
@@Bananakingchad Yeah, he has this weird shape where he is kinda chubby but his legs are skinny as hell. And because he stands tall with his feet kind of close to each other sometimes he looks like he shouldn't be able to keep balance hahaha
Contest mode wasn’t exactly “easy” yeah it had a stupid amount of day one completions but players are geting better and builds are geting stronger. I done the raid day one then had to help out the clan running it and with people who can’t hold there own nezarec definitely was a pain. Now the raid is kinda a joke patrol neomunia ads are more tanky than the raid ones which shouldn’t be a thing the raid should be the pinnacle of pve
The LFG teams were a harder challenge than the contest raid itself. On Explicator, I go ad clear because everyone’s already got their roles, and runners forget where to go. I run planets, and ad clear forget how to shoot while running double primary. Like, it’s one thing to have bad boss dps, but at least we got to dps, and optimization can simply happen when/if we wipe.
What do you mean "people who know?" If you are trying to imply this raid was ever hard I can guarantee both myself and anyone who has done any other day 1 raid would disagree. Hell I'd reckon Scourge of the Past was harder than this patrol bungie lazily put together.
@Robot375 Oh my apologies "Mister Badass." Glad to hear it was simple for you. I couldn't find a group who could get it done the entire first week. I don't have a dedicated group. Glad you do though.
@@ShogunRyuusha I did day 1 with an LFG group, it was that easy. I'm sorry you got paired with literal babies but that doesn't mean the raid was hard. The first encounter just relied on your team not being completely braindead, 2nd was very similarly easy, 3rd required at least a little messing around about how to actually move planets but beyond that was just a really bad DPS check, and Nezarec was literally just a matter of remembering the mechanic from the jumping puzzle and putting it into effect. Every encounter has no elements that can throw a kink in your plan (Deep Stone's random deactivation, KF's random Torn Between Dimensions, etc.) its just pure memorization and recitation of mechanics.
@@robot3759 You know what. I'll give you that. But it was MANY LFG groups. I went through like 20 during the whole week before I said fuck it. It was agony. I may have joined more groups than that but I forgot, honestly. I just remember a few of them being pain.
wish nezarec could actually stand straight like in this fanart, maybe it would've made him look less like a tormentor edit: crazy how a joke comment led to people grasping to even the smallest detail to try and defend nezarec's objectively uninteresting design. talk about copium
@@Brian-wp9er except for the fact that we met tormentors before we met nezarec, therefore he looks like them, making his design objectively speaking less interesting
@@samuelsalvatore4511 you met your friend before you met his father, but would you say his father looks like him, or that he looks like his father? You make no sense
@@Brian-wp9er you do realize you're literally just talking about lore and nothing gameplay-related, right? okay, let's follow your logic for a second: there's a game with 11 different enemy races, but all of them are gray wolves, some are bigger than others, but that's it in the lore, all the wolves come from a big family of wolves, that's why they all look the same is that an excuse to have gray wolves as literally the only enemy for an entire game? no, it's lazy game design and makes every enemy less interesting. tl;dr: we met tormentors before nezarec, therefore nezarec has a boring and uninteresting design because he's literally just a tormentor. i don't see what's so hard to understand.
@@samuelsalvatore4511 There is a story and reason that drives the gameplay dude. Tormentors exist because they’re imprints of nezarec 💀 it’s why some tormentors you fight are called “imprint of nezarec” and why nezarec isn’t named “imprint of tormentor. There is literally no argument to be made here
