I’ve been playing this in online class before the teacher shows up for three days now. These madlads have listened to it for a net total of 36 minutes. I won’t stop until it gets to an hour, which may happen by the end of the week. Update: they got it to 2:48:23 now Update 2: it’s been one semester and now we’ve finished it

@@Reeceline but without a brain, you wouldn't be able to get bored, or scared, or sad, angry, anything. Its like losing conciousness and going numb. You don't feel pain or any negative emotion.

Plus you wont have any positive emotions if negative are non existent...? This feels like being stuck in a shopping mall for eternity, as a child, in the toys section, hearing that muzak on the PA system, and being unable to leave by forces you can’t fathom. And also wanting to be there, because of the strange feeling of comfort, nostalgia and numbing pleasure it provides to your ears.
Literally my stress dreams. Except I’m usually stuck in a Boarders store in the mall, looking for the checkout. In these dreams I’m about ten years old and while I can hear other people in the store I never see them.
I wish the afterlife was like this. No meaning, no substance, no matter, no conscience, no humanity, no reincarnation, no existence, no suffering, just an endless loop of a long lost voice and an infinite beam of color stretching out into the sky, for all eternity.
I feel like it would get boring and sad after a while the song is playing for an eternal loop as you walk throughout this Lonesome afterlife then after a while you pay attention to the lyrics words more and more and start to think about them as you realize nobody is really here the voice isn’t coming from a person you can converse with, it’s just an eternally looping song you left the world of bright emotion filled faces for a desolate one filled with nothing but a looping song. Then again you said no conscience/existence so you wouldn’t even hear it nor even be able to be in the same place as this song since it exists and you don’t.
@Michael Clayton: That is exactly what I hope for. Except that it's not afterlife. It's merely the last moments of consciousness fading out into infinite peaceful nothingness. Edit: Speaking of eternal peace, "Nobody Here" reminds me of "The Memory" (watch?v=0GFJ_gfsTKs), which was composed and produced by Steve Roach after he almost died in a motorcycle accident. His music was based on his memory of his near-death experience. Other people who have gone through the same thing have listened to it and confirmed that what he heard is very similar to what they heard during their own experiences. If their accounts is anything to go by then the final moment in this world might be very peaceful indeed. (and also wistful perhaps, although that is just my own personal interpretation) But who could truly know for certain...

My old K-8 school shut down in 2014. When Im in the neighborhood I often go jogging by that abandoned place where I grew up in the 80s with this and similar nostalgi-sad tracks playing. There's an old tree in the recess yard where the graduating classes would carve goodbye messages. Most of them, even the newer ones, are now barely legible.

White flint mall in Rockville Maryland was a thriving mall, until Ted Lerner, the bastard himself decided to try to breach the contracts of all the mall’s tenants, including the lord & Taylor, who fought for its right and won a settlement of around 31M, but the once bustling mall was left to rot after the borders closed, then the Bloomingdale’s, then the loews theaters, then the h&m, finally the lord and Taylor. The Dave and busters was evicted sometime in august 2014, meanwhile Ted rots in a grave, sadly the property lays abandoned with a proposition of several apartments being built there. And the reason I said all this is the fact that you could walk around the empty mall on the last day before the demoing, (the L&T stood alone until 2020, around 7 years after the mall was closed and demoed) and this song would be the definement of that experience.
I feel like I’m at a certain point in my life where I look back and I see this. I’ve never seen this before in my life and yet it’s so familiar. I wouldn’t say this is a half waypoint cause I’m only 19, but this makes me realize that so much time has passed and I only see this when I look back. Bizarrely beautiful, yet analog creepy like.
First time driving into Huston from a 36hr drive from Miami at 12 in the night for extended 3 months of work in Remediation and seeing the downtown center is what this feels like.

Time to ponder, fall away in continous cycles of though... the thought of me being mortal with an expiration date; a date that will mark my unexistence and from then on forward, a world that will continue without me. A scary thought at first, but after thinking some more it's actually quite humbling and I feel grateful for being alive and I want to be a good human and make other humans happy. The meaning of life (for me) is to make other people happy and their day worthwhile. Helping people to smile in happiness makes me happy in return. Much love everybody!❤️
This is great, mortality is not to fear however a reminder to self to appreciate and be present in every moment, be grateful for what we have and appreciate those around us. We can’t change events such as death of others and ourselves, we can only change how we react to such, and how we choose to spend our time before this.
Sometimes I feel like I'm just watching the life of a stranger unfold through a window, it's like I'm a stranger in my own body, like someone else's mind should be behind these eyes, like I'm taking somebody else's place. I wish there was a way to have my consciousness exist without a body, like some sort of ghost, or a program that exists in the web, like a digital ghost.
