I pre-ordered two OnePlus 12's for my husband and I in January, and we both still love them. The camera is even better than my OnePlus 11, which I also loved, and the battery lasts forever. My OP12 will only lose 1% in 8 or 9 hours while I'm sleeping and will last all day easily. The speed is incredible and everything just works the way it should.. unlike my Pixel phones I've owned, unfortunately. Oh, and the antenna is the best I've ever seen! We live rural so that is very important to us. I've never dropped a call with this phone. Thank you for your review.
@@Bolty47 I paid only $599 for each of our 16GB RAM + 512GB storage OnePlus 12's. That included the free upgrade to the high end version, several pre-order bonuses, and a Motorola phone trade-in. Heck of a deal and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. This is THE BEST phone I've ever owned by far.
To be honest, this OnePlus 12 is best and alternative for those who gets Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 plus with Exynos Processor phone, and you get charger in the box
Yes you get the 100W 25 minute charger which is good. Samsung cheaped out copied Apple so no charger which is stupid and theior charge rates are a joke compared to other brands. But great phone so good for the price.
I got the 256gb s24 exynos on sale for $750 in saudi arabia. I got it over the oneplus because it has more support here (shops actually know how to repair samsungs) and the official warranty, and also for the better camera and optimization. I don't like raw performance phones as they tend to be buggy.
I have this phone, I think is the best from the market. I paid a little more for the 16 Gb RAM with 512 storage because I want to keep it for 4 years. I am not impressed about this new trend with AI, this phone will be rock solid for the following years.
Got it since it came, the phone just keeps on getting better with updates. No issues whatsoever with my unit. The strange thing tho, last update i got the AI eraser even tho it shouldn't come yet to europe, feels like i am the only one who got it 😂 When it comes to screen on time i always get 10 hours or more and i have res on max.
My country's is jammed packed with most of the top end flagship smartphones including the Vivo X100 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra to even as niche as the Xperia 1 V. It's basically a good place to get most of the top smartphones minus a Pixel. If it weren't for me needing a more lighter smartphone this would easily be my top 5 smartphones to get. OnePlus is good but could still be as good or better than others.
I main the OP 12 and have been using it since April 1st. Incredible phone and I love it. I actually got it on a phenomenal deal, so that makes the experience sweeter. One gripe - Oxygen OS. Too buggy and it's frustrating.
Nice, agree with everything here, I have been impressed with mine. My only slight issues are it doesn't support adaptive brightness which is strange and the auto brightness is too dark for me when indoors and can't be set. I also miss 1 touch display notification previews like my pixel had. Also find some problems with the camera focussing on multiple faces at one time, makes the other faces that are not primary focus a bit soft. I'm also not a big fan of the curved display or the size. Phone is kind of huge for me, It's really time oneplus started making more reasonable sized flagship options like 6.1-6.3 inches like all the other top tier android manufacturers offer. OxygenOS is a lovely operating system though and battery is stellar, definitely the best value flagship out there.
The too dark brightness is really annoying. I thought im the only one who notice it. No RU-vid ever mentioned. Why is it not adaptive (learning) like on Samsung?
@@sviraci Yeah very confusing, pretty sure adaptive brightness comes as standard on android so OP has literally stripped it out to replace it with inferior auto brightness. Makes no sense at all
@@corsinivideos yeah i dont know why they did it. Also why they dont fix it yet. beside this it is an amazing Smartphone. But this ruins it when use it a lot indoor.
@@sviraci Yes, I either turn off indoors or just adjust. It is a great device otherwise, although I do miss 1 touch on lock screen display notification previews like on pixel.
Chris great review👍But honestly I haven't been happy with my OP12 cameras, only 3x telelens was useful. Just today I saw a comparison here on YT from India of Motorola Edge 50 Ultra vs OP12 and Ultra crushed OP12 hands down with photos and videos. Ultra also had some fantastic AI things going on and a much better OS. I'm going to sell my OP12 and buy Ultra instead. Can you review 50 Ultra?
Being completely honest, I adore the 12. I've recently got rid of my Pixel 8 Pro after constant crashes and reboots, appalling cellular signal, Android Auto stopping working altogether, one of my cameras stopped working (software issue) and a corrupted encryption key which required it to be reflashed by Google. It was the least reliable device I have ever used and having replaced it with the 12, I feel it was the best decision I could have made.
Excellent video. Id like to share mine. Had this global version for 4 months now, very happy with, worth every penny. Performance is fantastic, camera is great for me,although im still learning to use it until now. Battery is great too depending on how you use it, on my case, im out all day with my data on and it can last almost a day, maybe less if i use navigation apps and do some gaming. Thermals, i used it on the beaxh recently and i noticed its warming up specially i took a lot of photos and videos, maybe its the sun.but overall, worth the wait and every buck.😊
the only thing I don't like about it is the curved screen...everything else is exceptional to a high degree especially considering it's *significantly* cheaper than the Pixel 8Pro yet has 4 times the storage
i have also one... perfect phone for me.. that i dont play a lot... super battery.. super faste charge... super fluid OS... no bugs.. or sttuters... very good price for what you are buying for... cameras also very good... no need to pay 1000+ € phones...that is a Lot of phone for this price. it will be probablu phone of the year price\quality . Only AI missing to see what can do.
Yes if you don't game much this is pretty much perfect for most at this price point. So much cheaper than my S24 Ultra. And those AI features my S24 Ultra has I barely use them really we don't need it most of us like my Windows Copilot PC.
Thanks to your review I bought the (Chinese) OnePlus 12. Its a very good phone but unfortunately the display uniformity issue is there. I also think the throttling is a bit too aggressive but this can be fixed with root hopefully.
I see you are back in Denia, will be there in september for a week. Hopefully I'll see you on the street someday for a photo :) keep up the good videos! BTW: I also have the OP12 for quite some time now and I am happy with it. Latest update to .800 did improve quite a lot things. But I will flash a custom AOSP rom as soon one gets released. Will be a great phone with AOSP.
Yes I'm about been filming some stuff, mostly ebike about Denai so come say hi if you see me. Some of the shot in this video are from Sagunto. OP12 is great very good phone for the price and yes the last patch has been good.
Compared to my OnePlus 11 this still runs much cooler to be honest, even playing mobile legends at 60 fps (can do 120) it still runs as hot as running it on 120 fps mode, also those throttling scores it probably due to summer heat
The "peak brightness" of the display of all those brands, which boasting about it, is just a fake thing. They did measure for a fraction of second (0.1s) that "peak brightness" and they put it in paper as a "result". What a stupid thing to fool users. I hate it.
It is you know I've never measured the claim on any phone with my Spyder X. I tyhink it was Xiaomi that started this marketing BS with their the Xiaomi XXX can do 4000 nits or whatever.
@@Techtablets Yeah. Probably you're right. All smartphone brands should stick with the results, to the "typical brightness" and "HBM brightness" and tell us the real numbers of it. That would be fair enough.
If there was one thing I was a bit disappointed since I started using it, it's definitely the fingerprint sensor. I moved from Xiaomi Mi11i which had sensor built in the power button and the difference in performance and accuracy is night and day. It's a bit annoying to be honest.
excellent review That's throttling stuff you talk about it's not there remember the taste that you do that is heavy real heavy so if you're doing normal gaming is not going to be that heavy so there's no throttling, got to remember that the test you do is designed to heavily impact the phone so and you're not going to heavily impact the phone while you're gaming so it's not there
almost 80 euros difference on vivo x100 pro i think ill get vivo eventhough i love oneplus i have oneplus 6 until now using it with my old huawei p30 pro
Oneplus 12 user here and honestly the best phone out this year for me. It has everything that I need and if it had some AI features like the Galaxy then it'd be phone of the year in my opinion.
@@Techtablets it actually surprised me on how it is especially with the IR Blaster and the second space which is a priority to me. The software is so underrated too!
I also use GCAM on a S20 FE and Oppo X7 Ultra. I programmed the configs on my own. Its sad, but GCAM is unbeatable. My brother using a S23 Ultra was shocked after comparing my S20 FE midrange camera results with GCAM compared to his Flagship device.
I was a forever Samsung guy and then Samsung got rid of the charger it was bad enough when they get rid of the headphone jack and the expandable storage and the charger was a step too far and that's when I moved to OnePlus and I've been very happy ever since I had my OnePlus 9 pro and now the OnePlus 12 is an incredible phone.
This is the best phone of 2024! OnePlus absolutely killed it with the 12 best bang for your buck. $400 less than the 24 ultra and the 15 pro. You can't really say anything bad about it. Speed, battery, screen, performance, software, and cameras are more than good enough. It's a 9/10 because of that curved display. But still. Amazing phone! Plus now OnePlus is building their own ecosystem. It's just going to get better.
I really love my Oneplus 12. It's fast, UI is smooth as silk, absolutely no bloatware, works like a beast with all the multitasking I do on it, great display with good visibility outdoors, excellent RAM management, superb battery backup that lasts all day and has never let me down. Camera is decent too, works for my purpose. I own the Galaxy s23 ultra as well but use OP 12 as my primary phone as I absolutely love it! OnePlus is the proof how much other phone brands are ripping you off!
Im just searching for long time review for experience of oneplus 12 bcz im just purchased it from store. I wanna ask just one thing that after some software updates there any kind of green line issues are there OR No issues with any updates. Plz reply with honest ans. Bcz i faced green line issues in oneplus 9 pro.😊 Thank you ❤
I am also curious about that. I think that's the only * mark with one plus flagships now. Camera quality for stills in low light and video quality generally falls short of iphone and Samsung same year iterations
Video is well behind the iPhone with some judder and the S24 video is a bit better. But I did a comparison when they where first out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ut9SDJCOUgg.html
Such videos about the experience of using it always made me laugh, because the author didn’t even use it for 6 months, this can be seen from the standard arrangement of icons and folders, as when you turned it on for the first time
6:50 Almost all flagships are cheaper than Samsumng and the funny is, the best phones are the cheapest (Honor magic 6 pro, OnePlus 12, Vivo x100 Pro) Great review tho. Thank you
best vfm flagship for sure, especially for the price you can pick it up from various markets/shops. Got the 12/256 model and i'm really happy - i would only change the curved screen, but i've grown used to it.
The reason most brands use a lower optical fingerprint scanner is because it's cheaper. In China they refer to the type of fingerprint scanner on the Oneplus 12 as an 'ultra thin' one (that's what it translates to anyway). Apparently they are double the price of the standard lower ones as the technology is different
@@Techtablets Anytime :D follow your channel, at least you are transparent. Oneplus 12 is not a option for me. Now hesitating between the honor magic 6 pro and xiaomi 14 ultra, which one would you keep?
People say autobrightness on Oneplus 12 is not great, was it the case for you? Brightness jumps up and down when you scroll a page with white background. Or it often dimms to 0 and not remembering your adjustments to brightness
Would you recommend to buy OP12 or 16PM? I'm a OP9 user like the ecosystem but I occasionally shoot videos and make edits which leads me to 16PM, tho I never used an apple device. Thanks.
Thank you for the review once again! I'm between this and the honor magic 6 pro! which would you prefer for the cameras and overall! is the zoom on honor with 2.5x very annoying? improved?
Just moved to a OnePlus 12 after the frustrating updates on my Xiaomi 11T Pro after 2 years. My previous phone was also a Xiaomi, the Mi 10T Pro, which was decent in the camera department. I wasn’t considering the camera quality of other phones and was about to pick the Mi 14, but their poor support for updates and patches was disappointing. Even OnePlus can be a better competitor against the iPhone 15. Moreover, it comes with a charger and an infrared sensor to control your home devices!
