I can't recommend OnePlus phones enough. You really don't have to buy anything more expensive than that if you ask me. I don't know much about the LG V30, but as for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, you won't have anywhere near the support you can get from OnePlus. Xiaomi makes great products, but it isn't that well established outside of China. Especially compared to OnePlus, which clearly aims for and has a global customer base.

I'm still rocking my 3T, and honestly other than some charger port issues, it's been great. The camera really feels outdated, it's a little slow, but the battery is amazing.

Callahan Covington iPhone 5 and 5s had 720p panels and you could compare them with phones with 1080p displays and they always stood out because Apple doesn't fuck around with numbers when it comes to the screen. iPhone 7 has one of the best screens I've ever seen (best goes to s8) and it's a bloody 1080p panel. Apple does optimisation and screen best.

Only the Plus models of the Iphone is 1080p. But the Iphone cost alot more and is still only 1080p. At least with my galaxy S8 I can see why I paid $750 for it.

The 8 gigs of memory isn't immediately that useful, but that's just because the Android OS and the apps for it are still in the interim phases of interoperability optimisation. There is stuff coming down the line pretty soon where it could be quite important. System virtualization is one such form of technology that would benefit greatly from access to larger contiguous memory increments, and even be impossible with 4 gig memory thresholds. Also that extra memory could become very quickly useful in one of the most quickly developing markets, which is mobile games. Pretty much the same as it is useful for full-fledged computers. Even high res video playback can gain a lot from temporary storage in larger raw memory buffers. Really it's not because that extra memory couldn't be useful right now, it's because the OS and software is still in its infancy, and does not efficiently use the hardware resources that are based on more 'matured' technology.

Been using the Oneplus One for almost three years. The phone is BLAZING FAST still, give amazing battery time and still looks amazing! Besides, I have dropped the phone 10 feet from the ground and also in a tub of water. The phone still works like a brand new phone and is on par performance wise with the OP3T. Trust me, I compare mine and my sister's OP3T regularly. Oneplus One is an AMAZING phone and I really cant stop praising it. I honestly like to talk about this phone because it ACTUALLY is a great phone and people need to know so they don't spend hundreds of dollars on something that is not worth it. My OPO is on par with the latest flagships in the market performance wise. I have owned a HTC One X, One X+, Xperia Z, Xperia Z3, Samsung Note 3 and Note 5. None of these phones have provided such stability and sturdiness.

You'd need to be a real geek to buy one although they are superb value and quality for your money. Flagship specs for decent money. Now, LG. I personally love LG phones too although they are rare in the UK and even rarer in Ireland as most carriers don't sell them. I had to buy my wife's V20 from Hong Kong. fantastic handset. it could be the marketing that makes these differences
