2022 still using this as my primary device, though there are few bugs and the camera has started to show its age still a great phone of its time, came a long way💫
Damn you got me smiling with that comment. It's now like this old Kid TV shows where you sing the intro in your head while reading only the lyrics. 😂😂😂
i still use my oneplus 3T, and i have it with me, everyday, at work(electrician), i dropd it more than 30times, and i still works perfect, only the battery doesnt last as long as before, but still lasts a long time, next phone will definitely be a oneplus again !
Oneplus 3 here, good solid phone, I just dropped it at 70 mph from my bike last week. I saw it spinning and jumping on the road from my mirror. When I went back for the phone, it was popped out from the case, few scratches on the side, but none on the screen, not even a crack, and no screen protection on it 😅
Seems like a good time to buy a oneplus 6. I'm sure you'll be able to find it cheaper than a 6T somewhere, and it will have a faster fingerprint scanner and will have a headphone jack.
@@mattheww.8686 Yes, such an obvious "joke" must have gone *straight* over my head, you're right. Now you may go back to feeling all pleased with yourself, well done :)
He claims that one of OnePlus 6T best features is its "same exact price as the last one," but it's clearly more expensive. The OP 6 is $529, the 6T is $549. That seems like a very big (and obvious) oversight.
@@kavehmokhtarnejad4654 shutter speed is slow on oneplus 6 and thats an issue for me. I miss so many shots due to this. Oneplus 5 dont have good photo quality but it's shutter speed is faster than oneplus 6, just a fact🙄

This is bad because it makes it look like he is getting paid by oneplus guess from now on you should put not sponsored by oneplus on all their phone reviews
Maen Marashdeh it’s not bad just a bit misleading. As an ad it gives his video and channel a lot more exposure. He should probably contact one plus and talk to them about this
@@MaenMarashdeh You're not supposed to disclaim that someone is not a sponsor, as you're already obligated to disclose your sponsors, not doing so is against the law. My wife picked up this phone from TMobile. She was comparing it to the S9+ and the OnePlus 6t just had so much value. First thing she told me she really liked was the battery life. Her phone gets enough charge driving to work that she doesn't plug it in at home and it lasts her all day. Great quality video as always!
@@tahmidk1 a Nissan GT-R is cheaper compared to Ferraris and Lamborghinis but it offers performance that isn't far off them like acceleration, top speed, horsepower etc. This goes the same for OnePlus 6T with its features, specs etc.
Google has 2 giant cameras and a really powerful speaker for stereo tbh I would prefer that notch with the cameras and speakers, gotta agree that op nailed the design but it would be physically impossibly to make Google's notch any smaller without compromising on the camera and speaker quality.
@@user-os8sq3uh4n I'm just going to point out the fact that I've never had an apple phone and I own a OnePlus 5t right now and I got made fun of a bit, I was being called cheap/broke. Though I can say that Honor isn't exactly "trash" I just wanted to show that it ain't the same quality brother.
OP8 and OP8 pro arent enough worth for me to switch from the marvelous OP7 pro- -..- No way the OP8 and pro are superior and for the price you can get the 7 pro....
@@Majed2000AFR That is an upgrade, true. I now own an Oneplus 6. From the last 3 years of several phones I've had and the usage I remember, I never play games nor take so many photos. But I always do RU-vid, messaging, and 99% web browsing. I don't care for specs now. I found out I need only 2 things in my phone that count. A huge battery and a nice screen. I decided to sell my op6 and buy one the following: moto g8 power 5000mah, redmi note 9s 5000mah, realme 6 4300mah (90hz - cheapest in the world) or realme 6i. Sure, the 6i has a poor screen at 720p, BUT!!! It has the highest battery endurance rating IN THE WORLD. According to gam arena a mind blowing 186h. It tops the g8 power, g7 power and all the other 4500-6000mah batteries. Ifc, it's because of the 720p screen and the battery friendly helio g80 cpu, but still.. If a person wants the phone with the longest of the long battery life... Realme 6i > (some shit phone) > G8 Power > rest....Rhe g8 power probs wins it for me just for the aluminum frame, fhd+ and overall better quality. But damn... 186h endurance rating... That's a world record if it existed.
WakingCobain yeah maybe for you and for me, as an emulator performance is important that is why I upgraded in the first place and sd865 is great for emulation and stuck a gcam and the camera is decent or good
It is about time U.S. consumers get a chance to save money! 👍 Verizon & the other big carriers have kind of forced us to buy Apple & Samsung because there hasn't been many other choices. If OnePlus is made available it will give these other companies some real competition.
just go with tmobile and get the mate 20 x thats what im gonna do only bull shit is the that its not sold in us so imma have to get it imported from uk
Well, as a Verizon rep I'd say you're wrong. We carry the Moto Z3 play, which is only $480 and has a lot of these same specs. We also have the Motorola G6 which has some of these same specs. We are also getting the Hydrogen phone next month. Verizon carries a lot of budget phones with good specs. You just have to ask. Plus we have some on the website. Samsung, Apple, & Google pay big money for advertising. It's not the company's fault. It's the manufacturers who don't want to make their phones compatible for our Network. We are getting the Razer phone 2 on Verizon this year.
The mate 20 and mate 20 x already have the tear drop notch.... huawei should of ditched face scanner and went with this notch for their flagship ... also on the phones that have this notch those phones have heAdphone jacks as well
I really love his choice of aesthetics. If you carefullly observe his choice of colors in each frame, they are very structured. Nothing seems to be random. Everything is very specifically planned. I don't see this in other RU-vidrs' videos. Well, I like his review as well, but the camera work and the choice of colors make it even more interesting!!!
Just got my McLaren edition. I went from the 5t. Man this phone is everything I have dreamed of. I chose to hide the notch because it still allows the clock and such to use the top space. Amazing device. At this point OnePlus is the best device on the market. I am forever a fan!
there are many people (me included) who like to use the phone while its on a table without having to pick it up, impossible with a back reader, but we also dont want to lose the real state in the front. so it is indeed a plus. the headphone jack hypocritical removal is on the other hand unforgivable.
Brian Philip I think they are both improvements. I haven’t used a headphone jack in years. The in screen fingerprint feels more natural than on the back
I had the 1+1. What a fabulous device, especially for its price! I didn't buy a OP device after it, since they followed other companies and gradually increased their prices with each model release. Granted, they're not as bad as Samsung or Apple but still... I'm rocking a ZTE Axon 7 still and it's also great for its price.
@@Zer0-0 I have an Axon 7 too but im trying to upgrade, already replaced the battery once and within a few months its already really poor. The speakers are so damn amazing though. With no bezels, no one except the razer phone even comes close to it anymore. and ZTE software is HORRENDOUS and i have never found a single custom rom that was good.
@@Zer0-0 oneplus' goal is to offer flagship devices for half the cost of most other flagships. The 1+ 1 was $299 because other flagships around that time were in the $600 range. Now that most flagships are around $900-$1000, oneplus offers similar phones for around 500. Obviously they are going to increase their prices, just like every other business does as time goes on.
@@josh.5942 just like the computer business did with PC's... Oops! Cell phone manufacturers keep making minor advancements and jacking up the price. As long as the sheep keep buying, they'll do it. The profit margin in phones is incredible.
This is a flagship phone that runs on a 2 year old processor, still has a very average at best camera, average speakers, good display and no headphone jack that u guys always jerk off to. Lol. The iPhone X’s MAX offers better battery life due to the extremly powerefficient 7nm A12 processor which is the strongest chip in ANY smartphone out right now, a WAY better camera, better speakers, and a easier unlock process due to raise to wake combined with Face ID. It also gets updates frequently unless ur android phone that with luck gets updates for 2 years and than its over lol.
They say the removed the headphone jack because it takes up more spece... But samsung does it perfectly fine and still manages to literally store a pen inside too. Lmao.
The Note 8 is significantly bigger than the 6t, and don't forget what happened with the last iteration when they tried stuffing everything into a phone. It exploded.
@@lholliday198 Its not that much bigger though. I mean I suppose they did manage to fit a 3700mah battery inside the 6t but I'd rather the phone be another few centimeters longer and still keep that headphone jack.
Yeah.. True. That's because Samsung doesn't care about the bezel on top and bottom.. One plus is trying to make it's phone as bezelless as possible. That emails sacrifices. I agree samsungs way is better right now because no one really cares about the bezel. But one plus is inching towards bezelless display which is just awesome
My 5T is still going strong after a year of SOLID daily use, and I still love it! It still acts like it's brand new and I haven't had a single issue except when my fingerprint reader stopped working for a week or so, but it fixed itself and everything else is perfect. One+ is kicking ass!
It's not even been 2 years yet and OnePlus have released loads of phones since, like a ridiculous amount and are now up to $999. I still have my 6T and will for a good while.
Get over it. With that price i ain't complaining this thing's even a lot faster than the note 9. Speak with your wallet bro you can get another phone any day

But added, fingerprint under the display, look at mrwhostheboss video, he opens it up at one plus company, and shows you why it was removed. 2nd generation under the display fingerprint scanner is slow. They did it to beat Samsung and other companies in the US market. I think they should have waited. Other than that, solid phone for the price. Mate 20 Pro is still king. These dude is biased as hell.

Victor B to be honest I went with iPhone originally because I wanted a phone that just worked. Didn’t crash or have glitches etc. And I got that plus all the innovations Apple were making in their phones and tech. Recently I’ve felt like Apple, though still working in impressive tech, just aren’t pushing the envelope like they use to. I mean the X is nice and all but it’s not ground breaking, it just looks nice. I’m still on my iPhone 6s because I just never wanted the 7, 8 or X. Then the latest line of iPhones came out and I realised I’m done. My last android phone was the original Samsung Galaxy S haha so I was nervous about coming back after that phone died a horrible death on me. But seeing how OnePlus have come about and the way they’re innovating in the industry, I just fell in love 😍
@@MrPhilyg Android used to suck but its come an insanely long way. Definitely more refined than iOS imo. My friend would always send me screenshots of his iPhone glitching out and being a total bitch.
Do you prefer the fingerprint scanner under the display instead of the back of the phone? I think the back one is both faster and more comfortable because of how you hold the phone.
Seth Wielgus I go to eBay and buy refurbished phones. I found one for $250. Got a couple dings but still works for a lot cheaper. But amazon usually has it perfect.
@@doc8187 Apple actually didn't lol. Well, in the 7 and 8 they did, but in the X and XS they didn't. XS Max they did but they wanted to be even. Apple has . HUGE vibrators which take up that space where the headphone jack should be.

Yeah. In display fingerprint will be improved on the next gen of phones, and even an all body screen w/ in display cams too. So 7T might be worth buying than this
Just to clarify, the mono speakers on this thing are very good! I was listening to Spotify from my 6T while reading on my Mac and kept forgetting that the music was Mobile and not laptop. So yeah, it's good. I came online searching for a OnePlus video just to spread my experience. I'm very happy with this device! Definitely feels modern and complete ☺️🎉🙏🏽
I'm really impressed by this phone, but one of my favorite things to see these days are companies that swore they'd never get rid of the headphone jack.. get rid of the headphone jack.
Why would you love it? It's just retarded to take away the headphone jack. There's no reason to. Bluetooth is still shit and you gotta spend like $200 on a pair of wireless headphones to get the audio quality of a $15 pair of wired ear buds. Apple only took it out to sell their damn airpods, and then everyone thought it was the new, cool thing to do. No headphone jack? Automatic no buy for me.
apple is costlier because they soo uch on R&D, they make their own chipset, ram, the software and technologies like bending the display for no chin. On the other hand oneplus gets software from google and tweaks little bit, chipset from snapdragon and put together to make on phone, so where is the expense on R&D.
kili de iMessage is quite literally the only reason I'm staying. I had a OnePlus 3t a couple months ago that I dropped and cracked the screen, and then I was thinking of waiting for the OnePlus 6t. My friend sold me his 7plus tho and as soon as I got an iPhone i got added to group chats and more people texted me than ever before. And I know if I go back to Android all that will stop lol
Actually.. Apple's own iPhone XR has better: 1. Faster SoC 2. Faster Graphics 3. Better Rear Camera 4. Better front camera 5. Secure Face ID 6. Louder Speakers 7. Better Battery life 8. Supports more carriers 9. Better customer service 10. Longer and faster software support 11. iOS SOftware 12. Wireless charging And to be honest Apple's display on the XR looks just as good as the OnePlus 6
I could name lots of good improvements Apple has done. I could name good things about Apple and why I like their products. I could also explain why Android fanboys are the definition of toxicity and ignorance. This is just so time consuming.
