After a little swim in the water, I've disasemble the phone, dryied it, then reassemble. Phone is back to life but touchscreen is not responding. What should I target first, the screen or the motherboard or the connecting cable ?
This will never so easy how shown - forget it. When you say "apply alcohol", you should tell the people how much and how in detail. The adhesive is so strong, it could survive ten wars. And how you lift the screen (without the frame) with the plastic sucker is never that easy :)
It does work! I tried this on my OnePlus 6. I put much more alcohol than shown in the video using a cotton Q-tip. I quickly saw a white powder form at the edge of the screen (must have been a chemical reaction between the alcohol and the glue), and after a few minutes it was not too hard to remove. I would not do it on a working screen because I doubt you could remove it without damaging the screen.
I successfully replaced my screen following this video! But now the fingerprint scanner isnt working anymore. I mounted it, as it was mounted on the old screen before. It recognizes touch and reads new data - sort of. (When i add a new fingerprint) But it never detects an added Fingerprint :c Is there a way to test, or maybe recalibrate it? At the moment the battery cover of my oneplus is hold in place with a case, so i dont have to reopen it for the fingerprint scanner replacement (if need to). Much thanks :o
I dropped my phone. now the display shows nothing (it is black) but the touch is working (I tested it by using gestures and trying to pick up a call ) so should I replace the whole screen or is any connection loose.
Hey i really Like your Video! Ist there a good way to seperate the Screen from the housing without damaging it (the Screen). I want to replace the Metal housing only.
does the screen with frame that you guys sell comes with the light sensor?, i need a screen + a light sensor to repair my OP6T. is the OP6T Light Sensor the same the OP6 uses?.
@@EricWitrigs do you now include the light sensor in Screen+Frame? I ordered "OEM Screen Replacement with Frame for OnePlus 6T Midnight Black" and wondering if it comes with the light sensor.
I replaced the screen. It works fine most of the time but ghost touches and dead spots come up after a few days. But restarting the device 3-4 times fixes the issue. Can i try replacing the screen again or it could be something else at fault here?
Well explained, thanks for the Video. Can I use the replacement screen from OP6T for my OP7 (not the OP7Pro) too? They are identically from the outside as far as I know. Found one Teardown for OP7 and can't say if the flex from the display is identically to the one from OP6T.
Hi , only the front (gorilla)glass is broken , rest is fine like digitiser , can perform all the functions Is it possible to replace only the front glass ? Kindly reply
do you guys offer shipping to india and does the oem screen with housing has oleophobic coating respond asap ill order and whats the 6T MCLAREN EDITION FRAME COLOUR
I am using the frame method. The replacement frame I received does not have the buttons (power, volume, slider). How do i take them out of the old one? This video doesn't show those parts ...
when the screen is on I can see a little sircled shape where the sreen is a little bit lighter where the fingerprint scanner is, mine is going to be like that?
I'm not understanding how you applied the alcohol? when watching this it just looks like you glided a stick or something over the edge of the phone without touching it. can you explain how and what you were doing to apply the alcohol? Also how to apply the adhesive? the yellow marks show where to apply, i see to lines in the middle and a thinner line around the edge of the phone is that correct? and how much adhesive do you put on? How long does it take to dry? Do you use the same adhesive to paste the battery cover? how much adhesive goes on that part? Or is there a adhesive that has pre-applied amount?
