I wish OnePlus would make a small phone. I love them, my last two phones have been OnePlus's, but they're just getting too big for my tiny mits. I reckon a 6" mid-range Oneplus would go gangbusters.
The reason noone makes those is noone is actually buying them. The recent Asus Zenphone releases all were on the smaller side, but they go big again now as well, given their sales suffered for it. And actually small stuff like the Unihertz Jelly series are super niche and have next to no market share ...
@Jerome This is false and lies fabricated by influencers, hordes of people baught zenphones, people who others would of naught other things exclusively naught zenphones devices, the phone did sell, it just didn't sell significantly because Asus is never going to appeal to the general public with two years of updates and because the market is saturated. Small phones did not inherintley "Not selling" and that's simply not true. Proof of this is that while 30+k people still baught zenphones no one is going to buy the zenphones ultra the small phone was a niche that had its own consistent user base that DID buy them.
the lg g5 was such a good phone. The replacable battery made mine go for 5+ years and I bought it 2 years already used but good condition. Even passed it down to siblings when I got a new one. It had a such good music chip.

@@jiffonbuffo cold on metal phones is subjective, anything lower than body temperature will feel cold but will comfortably be within battery operating limits. I don't think the OP is meaning subzero temps.
i love full metal design so much, but most of the manufacturer decide to go with glass these day. hope this one will be sold in vietnam in the near future
@@phosphorusdream The A55 is no slouch either although is doesn't match the performance of the N4. If you don't play heavy games you hardly will notice anything. I think the A55 is the better allround phone and I like the looks way better. With a €100 price difference it's worth considering. (Although I doubt I will ever buy OneUI driven smartphone)

Interesting... I'd kind of looked past OnePlus because of their limited software updates (still using a 7t) this one could be the long overdue replacement, i also notice you can get the charger for free if you order the phone from the OnePlus online store. Although it seems a bit odd that the only place you seem to be able buy OnePlus mobiles these days is direct from them whsts the deal with that?
It's about cutting out the middle man and maximising their profit, it's another profit stream, on top of their several other streams eg bloatware adds, and payments by those that wants your data, selling proprietary cables to upsell and overcharge, forcing wireless devices then selling their own for more money. It's all greed over the consume that's all it is.
@@cand017 The point is that the majority of everyday users have no idea what that is, don't care, because it doesn't make any difference to them. The A55 is not a phone that necessarily has all those supposedly shinny features and functions, but is instead dependable and reliable all around and more than enough for daily use.
@@abcun17 Yeah A55 should be all rounder phone with balance performance & efficiency for everyday task but lot user complaining phone easy to getting hot & battery drain in light use, seems exynos still the issue means the hardware not reliable and stable Lot people like samsung cos oneUI me too Exynos will ditch RDNA3 in 2026, they will made In-house Gpu "hope" it's solve graphic issue completely, if lucky same level as Adreno or Mediatek Gpu and the modem should improve more more efficiency
Looking good apart from the Selfie Camera which I think is the Weakest Link in the Camera Setup which is the opposite of My A35 which I think has its Selfie Camera as the Best Performing one. Speaking of My A35 I will be giving it to my Mother in a few weeks Who spends Thousands for other Things but wouldn't get a new phone and has been with same Samsung for like 5 Years already. And with all that said I will be looking to make a Decision as to what to get for Myself. So My Technical Question is how does this Phone stack up in Comparison to the Xiaomi 13T in the Camera Department? Asking Because the 13T is going for as little as£320/350 at the moment.
The Indian retail unit has a 100W type A to type C, I hope this does not get discontinued, cuz red cable and the warp charging is like cherry on the cake.
I got myself A55 a couple of weeks ago - Including all the recent discounts and etc I paid £239. Would that be by any change justified to spend £479 now on the 512GB variant of Nord4? Is it any better than A55 at all? Thanks!! (Asking because considering changing to N4)
If you have a new midrange phone you literally don't need a new phone. Of course spending £500 on a new phone when you have a new phone isn't justified
Not really, as far as midrange goes the a series from Samsung is the best options you can get, even older a models are better than most new midrangers. If you were to buy a new one, wait a little and get a top of the line phone, it doesn't make sense trading a midrange one for another similar or even worse. The a series has better phones than some flagships, so don't worry, you probably have one of the best phones possible.
Thanks for all your conclusions guys! You have soothed my thoughts. Don't take me wrong, I bought the A55 consciously and it's a great phone! The only downside it has is slightly weak reception indoor (where in the comparison Pixel 6a had much better reception). That could be the only reason for me considering switching to N4 where they advertised that super strong 5G pretty vivdly. For now I solve it with some Bixby routines and switching between 3/5G in/outdoor.
It's weird that the 100W are either from a preorder or from specific regions. I think the charging adapter should be available on all Nord 4, even if they had to use a weaker one.
44yo here, still into anime as much as the next Tech Spurt. Must say, even though I don't care an awful lot about some phones you happen to get your hands on, I still rather enjoy your reviews! Howdy Spurt! Apparently there's not going to be a Nord series phone here in the states this go around unless we get a highly stripped down version of this phone. I would still buy it because I absolutely loved my Nord n30 5g.
