Well I just bought the n30 and I can honestly say I love it. I don't know what people are looking for but this phone way exceeded my expectations from every angle. It's a great phone!
Its a great phone because of battery life and fast charging and it doesn't overheat like Pixel phones or other high end models whole also having good RAM for multi tasking. The only thing is the camera but who gives a f honestly.
The Nord N30 is a bit confusing. They are marketing this phone in the budget category but, they also have the Nord N300 aimed at this market. In my opinion they should have beefed up the processor to the Snapdragon 7 generation 1 and equiped it with a better GPU. As a result, they could have aimed this at the mid-range market and ran competition to the Samsung Galaxy A54 and the Google pixel 7a. Of course, oneplus just released the new Nord 3 in the mid-range category but, it is only available in certain markets around the world and not in the United states.
Don't buy from oneplus, they are dishonest. I tried to return the phone and they said it was damaged but I have pics to show it was mint condition. They tried to show me a pic of another phone. Buyer beware.
Yeah, those are facts. Oneplus treats their customers like garbage. Another one to stay far away from is Motorola. There was a time when I bought many phones from them and never had an issue with them if I had a faulty phone or any kind of issue. Never a question. As soon as Lenovo bought Motorola they turned into every other Chinese company out there. According to Motorola everyone is trying to rip them off. Not to mention there OS updates ate a joke and their phones feel like they're made put of recycled trash. If you have any kind of problem with them they absolutely will not make it right. The customer is always wrong. I will NEVER by another product from them again and I've easily spent thousands for me and my family. Their phones have a tendency to randomly reboot and apps constantly freeze and on and on. Motorola is a terrible company and I don't know how they even stay in business and sell phones. I'm not racists at all but it seems like every Chinese company treats their customers that way. I've never had a problem with Samsung every and they've Always treated me with dignity and respect and never questioned a problem I've had with their products.
I own the Pixel 6a, which I upgraded from the 4a last year; and I love the smaller Pixel 'a' models. They fit in my pockets and easier to handle/scroll screen with one hand.
Yup. I have had the OnePlus 12 for about a week now and even though it is suppose to have a very high PWM frequency and they have included some great eye comfort settings my eyes still hurt after extended use. To their credit this has been the best experience I have had with an OLED display being PWM sensitive but I am likely going to return it for this phone instead.
The reviews online are unfair to knock the budget phones against the Pixel A series. The Pixel A uses a high-end processor Vs the competition that uses budget processors. The Pixel A series uses high-end camera's Vs budget phones that use moderate or low end to keep the price down. Also, The Pixel A series is priced close to $500 Vs the budget phones that are around $200 to $500. Some can't afford to buy certain phones, that why phones like the Oneplus Nord N30 5G & the Moto G Power 5G 2023 exist for people like myself.
It's always annoying to me when reviews are not objectively comparing "Apples to Apples". The N30 wasn't meant to compete with a A series Pixel but more along the lines of a Moto G or Galaxy A23.
@madmann6723 Price-wise, the 6A is right there with the N30. I think OP is referring to the 7A, even though refuses to specify which A series for the sake of the argument. In terms of Samsung, I think OP is eyeing the Samsung A54 just as much as the A24.
Im using the OnePlus N30 for the charging speeds and screen size. Outside of thst nothing about it beats the pixel. The cameras on 6a overheat so there's that
Thank you for you're first impressions of this phone and frankly I really don't think that spending anymore time on the N30 is necessary.😅 This phone is disappointing to me as a OnePlus user and fan it should have the Snapdragon 6 gen1 to me this is not an upgrade to the N20. The N20 has an AMOLED display and the same SD695 chipset i mean it still has the same 5.1 Bluetooth as the N10 the first phone in the lineup. But that's just my opinion. Thanks again. 💯👍🇺🇸
I recently bought the N30 and I am disappointed with the audio quality. This phone replaces my old moto g power. When I use the 3.5 jack when on the bike at the gym the sound isn't as full as on my old phone. Likewise when I use bluetooth in my car to listen to spotify I have to turn up the car volume higher and it still doesn't sound as full .
I got this N30 yesterday and returned the S24 plus. I saved roughly 850.00. I didn't use half the crap samsung had and no bloatware with the oneplus phone. I'm happy with it. I don't take my phone to the bathroom nor do I use the camera much. But I have zero issues with it so far and it came with plug and cord. Can't beat that price and oneplus phones.
@@Phrancis5 If I kayaked I would definitely want a very good camera and water proof for sure also. Everybody has different preferences of using phones to their advantage. I'm waiting on the pixel 9 phone and using this as a backup. This nord phone is having some Wi-Fi issues, especially listening to music on RU-vid I listen to a lot of music. This isn't good. Ugh
Was an Iphone user for over a decade but honestly hate the price for the phone. I dont need or want a $1000+ phone just because its the status symbol. Switched to One Plus Nord N20 a year ago and am never going back. Thinking about upgrading to the N30. This is my Iphone lol. I use youtube, tik tok, snapchat, facebook, all the major apps on a regular basis, no problems. Plus the charging time, it being 30 watts on the N20, is still faster than anything i can get on an Iphone. Also not to mention the micro SD slot on the side. Upgraded it to 500 gigs. Best phone for the price in my opinion.
If you arent a gamer or a professional photographer the N30 is a great phone... I got a factory unlocked N30 ( open box ) with a TCL8 LE tablet ( which also will take a sim card ) 250$ total for both shipped. I am on google Fi and live the pixel, but I am also 52 and need reading glasses these days. Big screen, big battery, fast charging, headphone jack and SD card slot ... Not a bad deal... But I totally see why someone would get the pixel. I already have a galaxy s22 ultra with a cracked screen that I am sending in for repair. I always keep a second phone for when I travel overseas. The N30 is gonna sit inside my Thailand condo and be used as a hotspot on an unlimited data plan. But if I need to actually use it as a phone, its really great for the cost.
Such a down grade in many ways from the N20 imo. They took a midrange that had potential for enthusiast and kind of tarnished it to get normies interested in high specs.... I get how it'll help them sell more, but with just going back to LCD alone being the line drawn and that the Camera showing without Gcam does not look any better.... They really missed the mark for me and I'll either be grabbing a OP8/9 or getting a Pixel 6 🤷
I am totally appreciating all your insight and your review I cannot wait to get my hands on this phone even though I love the Pixel 7A but there are certain things I don't enjoy about it it still has slow charging that is a pet peeve of mine
Yeah, that's my same predicament - I love going back to my Pixel 7 Pro for the camera and software, but charging it and other customizable things that other brands do so well are what make me hesitate.
what are you expecting a flagship phone expireance on a budget phone come on dude be real stop making this videos just for views and clicks . it is only what someone can afford so be it as long as they are happy and can do what they need to do . but you can expect for a budget phone to be as great as a flagship phone dude.
Thank you so much for making this video. You didn't really touch much on the SD card part. The 6a not having one turned me off. You really helped me. Thanks.
@@gearupaaron yes was deciding. Just got mine. It's working nice. You might want to touch on the simple mode settings. It's awesome for someone with disabilities like me. Thanks again for your help!!
@@gearupaaron yes .....some of the androids software separate volume. Has the volume for Pandora, RU-vid etc etc. that you can lower each one separately
@@gearupaaron OK thanks I have an extra Google phi number that’s on my phone and I thought about just getting this to put that number on it for text and calls. I might still get it just get a physical Sim.
smaller phones looks like toys to me. I got big hands and I am a heavy user due to the nature of my work. Big screen all day long. I see apple users with giant hands and tiny screen, it looks comical...grown ass man with tiny screen.
After going back and forth trying to decide between these 2 phones I ended up getting the N20 for ~$175. SD card and headphone jack are just too big a deal to me and after digging into the differences between the N20 and N30 for my use I figure the N20 will do the job just as well for $100 less.
