This phone is fantastic but the big issue it has is no MagSafe or wireless charging which is the biggest downside on this.

Only $2299 in Canada; and considering they have zero warranty support here I'll always pass on OP even though I like their phones

They should have thrown a gen 3 chip in it. I would have bought one in a second if they did. Its the only disadvantage it really has competing with the newest folds coming out.

They need to upgrade their customer support. Not their hardware.

This phone is the Oppo Find N3 limited edition the only difference is that it has Oxygen OS as opposed to Hydrogen OS. You can pick up the Oppo Find N3 limited edition for way less than OnePlus are selling the Apex edition. However if you want a ROM and a phone that works worldwide and you want a new colour way then buy this phone.

I own a OnePlus Open myself and I do find it surprising some are saying it's not a scam. This refresh is a rip off. Here's why: 1. Biggest one - the apex version does not get an extended support for software updates and security updates. Lol they literally tell you "Guaranteed 3 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates from time of launch"... Do not just skim over this. Really think about it. When Samsung releases its FE versions, it gets the projected life support based on year of launch. Even apple releases its SE phones with a better chip and support based on year of launch . With one plus you are not getting a chip upgrade, OS, or security. 2. It's a foldable - foldable tech is not polished. Inner screens bust and OnePlus is known for having a green line issue. 3. OnePlus support - it's terrible, read online. You take a big gamble already with this being a foldable. So if any issues happen good luck with OnePlus helping you with refunds, returns, or warranties 4. Price - it's damn expensive based on stuff I've already mentioned 5. Lack of features - you honestly don't need 1 tb guys 🤦🏽‍♂️. If anything maybe ram would be nice but no need to get more specs when it's not being extended life support and since it might break easier since it's a foldable. Don't be fooled into giving your cash, the less we buy these releases the more we shift the demand and we more fair prices on new releases.

When the OnePlus open came out it was $1700 but they instantly gave you $200 off. I believe that one plus thinks that the OnePlus open 256 GB is worth $1,500 but has us think we're getting a discount. It's the same thing for the Apex edition. The actual price that it's worth would be $1600 ($300 credit if you put the code). They are having us believe that we're getting a true discount before phone trade-in. 256gb-$1500 512gb-$1600 I say good pricing

There is a video from a wannabe tech youtuber called AverageDad. He first came out to say the OnePlus Apex is a scam, obviously getting it entirely wrong. His main attributes is ranting, insulting, swearing... and sadly for many people this seems to be more of a value than properly researched tech reviews. And by the way, where I live you can get the Apex Edition for 1699€ including a OnePlus Watch 2 and a B&O bluetooth speaker. MSRP 637€ for both, making it an insanely good deal and even cheaper than the "regular" edition.

Excellent point. It is surprising that people didn't know about OPPO/ONEPLUS relationship. Also the ONEPLUS OPEN has better battery life and faster charging

Okay so update from Europe. The phone is on pre-sale today. The price is 2K. Meanwhile in the US and some certain areas in the UK you can grab it for 1,2k. Make it make sense. I'm definitely skipping this one as well. It might not be a scam but it definitely is a rip off. How in the world do they justify such a huge price. The original didn't even cost that much.

OnePlus has been a major brand in Europe from day one. Maybe that's not the case in US, but we literally had dedicated stores for the first OP model everywhere and I used their phones righ up until the star wars edition. After that they started to focus on releasing several models at a time and broke some promises they originally made to their community. It was a big deal back then and while they're still one of the most sold brand, they did lose a considerable amount of loyal customers for doing that. Also as far as I'm aware, the Apex is not limited in quantity.

Hello I discovered you recently thank you for your honesty I tried the open 9 open recently and it was top hardware but some software problems disappointed me and I sent it back example when I went to Google discovery to read an article and made the application close again I'm on an s24 and I had a z fold 5 I love the Samsung overlay can you tell me if you have encountered this kind of problems Thank you very much

Got the Apex Edition for £1249 with free Buds Pro 3 which I will sell for £150....so essentially paid £1099. Can't complain!!!

For that price, I guess it's good to wait until next year

It is a refreshed phone with a new colour. Xiaomi did the same with the 13 Ultra. I have no idea what people were thinking saying it was a scam, and going out of their way to fulfil their incessant need to prove themselves right by doubling foen on their flawed opinion!

My thoughts ( n I like Oneplus): * it reminds me of the McLaren but less * Regular Open has the same amount of updates now ( only cheaper) * Props for having Oneplus' back * Do you want to sell it ( used n discounted) ? * The inner screen animation looked like an apple unfolding ( nice duo dig) * too GDH ( Flossy) * That security chip ( gotta learn more) and double storage almost make it , nice color, but TOO LATE of a reveal.
