Did you measure the full length of your dogs spine to fit the harness or just from the shoulders to where you wanted/expected the harness to fit?

I have a male Shiba Inu, I ordered the smallest size. "Medium" It fits around the waist but not around the chest. It's very lose and you can easily pull it to the side. I wanted something like this because we do alot of hiking, walking, kayaking, rock climbing etc. Is there something else similar to this that you would recommend?? I need to be able to pick him up easily, attached to myself, water proof, etc. Please help!????

Very helpful, my only question; what size did you purchase? As in what size is the vest you are using on your doggo in this video?

I would like to use this to secure my 50lb golden retriever to the seat in my car. Enough that she can lay down but not enough to get out of the seat and hopefully protect her in the event of a crash or rollover. Do you think this would work? Could I use the handle to lift her off the ground without hurting her or slipping out of the harness?

What’s the string on the back for? The bongie stretchy strings ? What’s that for?
