bought 1- 2 days ago, got it the next day. have it set at the moment. expecting rain tonight. the one thing i like are the stakes as i only use this style. what's not to like - one of the zippers has acid / moth damage on a seam. needs extra mid-body tie out points. for mine i did the pebble & string trick to pull the back out for more room inside.

@@tjfm59 Hey! Yes it needs upgrades on pullout points and flysheet extension on porch mode!

Ya I just bought one. And I make small triangle tarps. To add on the ends, of my tents and tarps. So no problamo to modify. Thanks for your video. Cheers 🍻

I used mine on really uneven ground. So it was my fault I struggled. This looks ideal set up. I mentioned there could be a couple of extra peg points on the sides. Looks good though. I will use it again. 👍

Nice tent but I’ve had a bad experience with a single layered wall with mesh bug screen door that had a pyramid shape, I’ll wait to see it they improve the design because of the rain coming inside since I live in the “Sunshine State, Florida” when we get a lot of rain & muggy conditions! Always bring a back up stove lol alky or solid fuel tabs plus they are lighter & I use anodized (& Halulite) aluminum so it’ll work perfectly together! A little fuel goes a long way with help from my TOAKS Ti wind screen (thin roll up sheet)

You can have all my share of cold nights out side ! But I like the basic idea of this smaller tent ; it is not a bivvy , maybe a cross over between the two , but with valuable mods like a porch roof . A small tarp would solve the rain entry at the taller end . If the manufacturer made a light weight , sewn in , side flap of material , maybe at both tent ends , things would be even better . A bigger issue is the main fabric . Although it is light , it sags too much when damp and that is a problem in a single skin tent . I would imagine really wet and windy conditions could defeat this design , but in lighter winds it offers some good , stealthy , benefits . I noticed two stitched in hoops half way along the two ridges lines . Could the hoops be used to attach a line between the walking poles to strengthen the structure ?

Yeah, material is light and sags, but for main usage this shelter is nice especially for weight and huge entrance/view. Hope they will make upgrades to this tent. I think those rings on corners is for attaching the tracking poles when used upside down, like spike goes in that ring and handle of pole lays on the ground. In that way is easier and faster to set it up, easier to attach guy lines...

few extra lines and pull out points needed . and a triangular side panel for open mode or drape poncho over that bit lol

Hi! Can you tell me if the bivy is wider on one side? I can see that's it's taller on one side but how about the width? I'm not sure to understand the measurements on the Onewind website...
@ImpulseFromWithin
@ImpulseFromWithin 2 дня назад
@@ericboulay6435 Hey! It has same width on both ends..

Those velcro connections that stick together in the wet hold well enough? Shouldn't there have been a button in the buttonhole, or some kind of hook... or strong little magnets?
@ImpulseFromWithin
@ImpulseFromWithin 5 месяцев назад
Velcro connections hold well for me! But yeah, magnets would be super cool for holding there..!! 👍

Seems like the best way to solve the problem would be to just add a vestibule to the tent. That way you'd get both the flap of material to block the rain and some enclosed storage space when the door is down. Also, where was this filmed?
@ImpulseFromWithin
@ImpulseFromWithin 5 месяцев назад
Hey! This tend to be 1kg tent, vestibule would add too much weight. It would be enough to just add extra fabric to the door on head side, I think.
