Ally X - amazing screen, great software, best performance, best battery on the market, just 100 bucks more expensive than Deck 1Tb... It is actually cheaper because Windows 11 license and 3 months of GamePass are worth alone 200 bucks. Ally X is nobrainer.

Heres the thing with the Ally. It only needs to achieve about 40-45 fps (maybe less) to look like all the other devices at 60 fps due to the vrr screen. Cant overstate the importance of vrr in these low power machines (relatively speaking). It is the most underrated feature of the Ally.

Vrr is only dealing with tearing on uneven fps to screen hz. 40 fps on ally still look like 40 fps on any 120hz 40fps vsync screen (with RTSS input lag isn’t noticeable). In the long run VRR is for people that not use RTSS and play on uncapped framerate, pretty easy to use out of box. And if screen is 144hz like Lenovo Legion Go and they didn’t provide 120hz refresh rate option in settings then u can either use CRU to downclock screen or play on 36/48 fps which is slightly worse in the first case cuz 40 fps is indeed optimal. IMO vrr sounds awesome, but especially on handhelds I would prefer to set limit on fps anyway for battery save.

Glad I picked up the Legion Go for almost half the price of the Ally X here in Canada. The 2-4 fps difference isnt a gamechanger and for the price difference I can live with the shorter battery life

I'm more concerned with battery life in a handheld not the best graphics. The best graphics don't mean jack if I only get a hour or 2 of gaming on the go. ... If you just use it at home cool but its a handheld and I want long playtime and battery life over the best graphics. Give me stable frames and battery life and when I want a high end graphical experience I go to the big screen and my main rig. ... The handhelds Imo serve a different purpose and dont need to compete with the graphics of a console or pc. ..

@rcash3625 Agreed. I already have a PS5 Slim and a Legion 5i. If I wanna buy a handheld it has to be one that lasts a good while and one that I can actually use when outside without worrying about the battery life. The Ally X really appeals to me in that regard. A little better performance and better battery life than the rest.

benchmarks vs actual gameplay in congested indoor or outdoor areas. VRR screens and lower resolution with upscaling make all the difference on each machine. Even the Claw when playing games with Xess feels smooth (just too expensive)

I've watched a ton of benchmarks on all these systems. I do not think you have your settings correct? Or your bios updated for the claw and typically if you have the exact same resolution, the lesion go beats the Ally. It has faster memory and the same processor

Not the Ally, it´s the Ally X. Same 7500 MT/s as the Lego but with 24 gb ram instead of the LeGo´s 16, less fight over resources between cpu and gpu should net some performance gain for the Ally X over the LeGo.

Legion go has too little ram memory. If 24gb ram is probably enough because it has to share system memory with the GPU so there is a lack of ram, right?

Intel has to have products out to get better. They signed the contract with MSI so they have a handheld with the intel chip so they can work on optimizing it. MSI already stated this. They have a deal with intel so intel can improve the chips to compete with AMD.. Thats good for everyone we don't need AMD to have a monopoly so they drive the prices up. MSI should cut the price. ... if they had a service like gamepass or a deal with someone like xbox they could sell at a loss.

@@OblivionPrime Ofc now diff, after bios update CLAW can make it 50-60 fps its huge diff, and this video after bios update no reason to messure. But we waiting more update in video :)
