I really love the humorous moments that Hiruko handles so beautifully, flipping from menace to baffled family commentary to defiance to attraction. To hear the crabby oni guy describe the priestess as a "sassy halfpint" is hilarious! This is one of my favorite audio series, and the fact that you put it all in one audio is delightful.

I may be a guy, but I can 100% say I'm gay for that Oni. Really was an amazing story, loved it from start to finish. And I couldn't help but laugh to his antics as well.
If the priestess/Priest we play as was in a RPG/Video game Skill 1: delicious cooking About: feeds all the enemies with a good meal and puts them to sleep for 3 turns Skill 2 : Holy fields About: Priest/Priestess heals whole party including themselves Skill 3: Unbroken Barricades About: this traps the Enemies in a barricade of shields for 4 turns Passive skill: Broom smack☆ About: if the priestess/Priest gets irritated by the multiple attacks by enemies they summon a big broom and bonk there enemies the numbers of times they got hit.
I just listened to the whole thing and OH MY GOD. I know everyone in the comments has already said this but this is amazing. The voice acting, the writing, the witty humor, action, broom MVP 🧹 and GURL THE SOUNDTRACK HAD ME THINKING I WAS IN MY OWN MOVIE. I was fully emersed. I will follow Esme to the end of the earth atp. I’ve always loved her scripts but this is my far my favorite. I shall now dedicate myself to drawing oni x priestess fan art for the upcoming days. Thank you for this masterpiece and inspiration Esme and PatMan VA.
What I find funny now is that when he gets all serious this weird sound plays and then when he’s not serious it just cuts off. It had me dying the entire time!😂😂😂
this series gave me vibes of dracula and lisa in the castlevania anime- specifically when we see them meeting because- dracula is trying to be all scary and stuff and then lisa is all like “i need to teach you manners your rude” and stuff and thats the vibe im getting here and i love it so much
My heart was rollercoastering this whole series, happy,sad and all, i had to stifle multiple laughs! I also couldn’t stop smiling for multiple prolonged moments, so underrated, criminally so. Brilliant work!
