The NT1 has been underrated for decades. Rode overall has been underrated forever. My favorite one from Rode is the NTK tube mic. When setting up new studios for beginner and advance users, I always recommend a Rodes mic. Don’t get thrown off by the prices. Rodes delivers, no matter what level you are on. As a recording engineer for over 25 years, I can say the NT1 is a monster and should be $999, especially when you know how to record.

The Rode NT1 was compared to the U87 in the 1990s,I bought a NT1 in 1997 and is still loving it today!$159 is a bargain price affordable for many.

I bought a Rode NT-1 (old school version) back in 2000 a my first condenser. But I use an Oktava MK-319 for vocals now because my Rode sounded too harsh and brittle for vocals in comparison. I still have it but use it mainly for things like percussion, where it sounds fine to my ears, but not for vocals. I wonder how this new NT-1 Signature Series is different from the O.G. version in terms of components and sound quality.

Oh wow, that sounds KILLER!! :O Didn't expect that! The mics I've got in my collection are the Warm Audio WA-47, Shure Unidyne III, AKG D320B (check this one out... little story about it below) and an AKG C414 B-ULS. I use the WA-47 for my vocals mainly, the C414 for acoustic guitars and some other stuff, the Unidyne for electric guitars, in front of my cab and the AKG D320B.... hmmm, here we go: I don't know yet what I'm gonna use it for, but definitely on stuff that has to sound as transparent as possible, like violins maybe? Anyway, I got it a couple of months ago, plugged it in whilst singing and talking into it and in Pro Tools, the metres we;re going into 'orange' but I couldn't hear anything, so I kept on raising the main volume of my monitors until I heard myself above me talking/singing, how do I explain this? Anyway, thát's when I realised how transparent this thing is/sounds! :O I got it for €40, which's really cheap! Maybe I'll get another one and permanently mic up my Leslie with them (and an SM-7B or 421-MD on the bottom rotor). I'm just doing everything myself, so maybe I'm gonna get a couple of mics just to be able to get different flavours, but I'm not a commercial facility, so I don't need to have every single mic out there, because I buy what I like and don't have to worry about a singer coming in: "I wanna use a Sony C-800G", well... off you pop to somewhere else then, hahaha. :)

Recorded my FIRST record with a KORG D8 and the Original Rode NT1 and some of my friends on major labels would inquire WHAT type of mike we were using. EXCEPTIONAL mic in MY personal opinion. GLAD to see its a CHOICE mic still💪🔥💯♥️

The sibilance is a bit rough, I wish studio project still made microphones, the b3 was the best 150 dollar mic, hands down. and the T3... clutch. You should do a mic comparison of the NT and the temu... 😈😈

I was about to buy it until I saw the "rode" logo all over it. Ain't nobody want the world knowing what kind of mic you using. Hard pass for me just because the logo all over it. Hopefully the rode owners see this, and stop being stupid. Sale lost.
