I have been using my padewakang for pretty much everything end game. Long nines, fire bombard 3, dardanelles, royal custod, the BiS Mortar- and swap the spectral flame as needed up front for stuff like hostile takeover events. I am riding it through until I grab the Sambuk. LOL. I do have a Brig built but havent been able to brainstorm a build around it. So thanks for the video I may draw inspiration from your build here today and see how she feels! Also props for a new video! Underrated channel hands down!😊
In re: zams or dards not only it depends on how I feel, but if you notice your server has a real high helm rating cast of players, I tend to consider the fire vs flood based on what I'd think what armor they are using and if im chasing or being chased. Most will use restoration kits if you are being chased.
I have met too many people saying that when they did the wager, nobody joined and interfered. I envied them as all slots would always fill up before I even secure my chest

Don't sleep on those. Demi cannons Level two zamzamas that I keep on the left side of my brigantine nearly one shots of most ships 10 are lower and if it doesn't it leaves them with a huge blue blinking bar and enough damage that they are going to fall behind me and will never catch up again
Don’t get me wrong, the shotgun blast from zamzamas are fun as hell but the darnellas are better imo. Insane dmg at close range and far. If you can land your shots, they destroy everything.
I like my Vanguard... I've not yet been sunk by another player and I've not even finished upgrading it. I've got flooding Demis on the port and starboard sides Long nines for chasing and lvl 2 Leopold and lvl 2 fire Bombards installed.
I got a Twin-winch Ballista on the front end with Long 9's on the rear. Lot of people really like using the Ballista because when fully pulled back, you don't have to aim up hardly at all. That thing has very little drop over a huge distance. Very ideal for chasing rather than defending. While it doesn't give the 7k Mast Breaker perk, it can still do round 3-4,000 damage on the hull and 1000 damage to the sails give or take. On top of that... Ballista's don't have a reload time. So you can just keep pelting away much faster than waiting 9 seconds every time you fire the Long 9 and putting out much more damage if they're hull shots.
@@JBellsCuedUp Aye, that too. Although I run a balanced mix of PvPvE with my furniture. Once we get the Ouroborus Armor, that'll free up one of my furniture slots at least.

I did ah pak with my brother yesterday and the technique I used was hilarious, I just stayed behind small island barrier while bro was pulling aggro, I had all 4 fire bomb 3s and just mortar 3, but I just keep spinning while completely stationary constantly blowing shit up while I was constantly protected from torpedoes lol was amazing feeling
my build is left and right are the niners on the front i got the twin ballista on the back i got the dardanelles with the leopold 3. Bro one hit with the ballista then the niners and when the ship is behind you the dardanelles are ready and when that is not enough th eother side of niners are also rdy hahaha so broken
@ish scurlocks niners on the side in pvp i test it also i won a 2vs1 with it so it worked. bombarde player have no chance against that ballista and niners range
Just unlocked this ship & the snow, still not at cuttthroat rank yet though as finding the grind to kingpin a long one, any advice for progressing the ranks??
Fastest way is to fly through the main story then just head outside of Saint Anne and constantly kill everything in the area it only gives 50 a ship at that rank but it soon adds up that is when it doesn't let you progress further ✊🦜
The snow is my favorite ship in the game however it's b.s the game kinda forces u to use the brig sometimes because of the speed there should be at least another ship or 2 that have closer speed doesn't need to b as fast like 15 kts to 17 o4 14 to 16 something similar would be nice but no ship comes close it's b.s
I had a helm wager once and I use the snow I had 3 brigs on me and I held my own .......for awhile however eventually the speed of brig caught up to me I'd kill them over and over but they would just dock and catch up to me with full health again because with the wind and the slow speed of the snow plus I had a good distance to go the brig would just catch up almost made it but in the end first time ever losing po8 4k worth 😢😂
Point of story is I can tank so much but sometimes even then speed kills if your that slow in comparison also its pointless to do any pvp events unless everyone in it uses the brig because if u dont u cant keep up and honestly it's sickening see only brigs all the time like what fun and variety the game actually has (snow bros and gals stay strong 💪 😂)
I agree I think there should be buff/nerf furnitures where you can gain speed but you lose 50% more stam when bracing so we can come up with some insane metas
I think an interesting design choice would be to able to sacrifice weight (ie weapons and armour) for additional speed. Would enable other blockade runner build options but we would still likely see such a build on a brigantine faster that a similar build on anything else.
If you used all deck weapons on both sides(Culverin Vs) - 8 ports per side, wouldn't that be better than bombards just on top deck - 4 top deck per side? I don't have dards as yet 😭
My brig has twin winch on the front and long nines on the right and rear. Leopold 3 for the auxiliary. Rahmas legacy on the left. Sounds impractical but ballista helps alot with chasing and can prep for tearing which will be quick and unexpected. Torps help alot when evading in narrow places and around corners. The torps also do flooding alongside the leopold. I have yet to be sunk or lose a map/wager whilst using this setup. Ive also saved alot of newer players doing wagers whilst using this.
Why would anyone risk with helm wagers. Also glad to see i am not the ony one hating on the stupid banner over lap of the menu and not the only one missing the helm wager because i just click the circle button to keep it moving the worse is when you fast travel and have journal oopen and you accidentally abandoned the quest you tryibg to complete by fast traveling to the location only to abandon the quest
There are people selling po8 wager protection on the official discord trade channel you touted. I am in the top 200 on leaderboard, without using any of these methods btw. I am convicned I have no shot of catching most people ahead of me.
You can turn it off but it would have to be a collective 2 hours watched so if you watch 10 mins one day and another etc until you accumulate 2 hours that also works ✊🦜

would long guns 5 work at front and back of the boat and fire bombbard 2 on the sides and mortar 3 untill i get scurlocks long nines and dardanells bombbard gun🤔🤔🤔🙂?
Use scurlock chaser instead as you get for main quest side you can use bombard but you want to be able to quickly sway to the side fire and straighten back up to not lose speed so side is best with something quick at firing if you are happy with norm bombard use it however if I didn't have dared I would use flooding canons
u dont want any bombard or dmg dealing cannons , the only dmg u want is flooding dmg , set long nines front back , flooding demi cannons , or zenzima ,, then as mortar also the flooding one :) go for full flood / tear build that is for when theres actually another brigatine chasing u , ur perma de sailing everyone.
I’m starting to realize Fire Bombards were only good early game. Flooding seems to be the best status effect next to Torn Sails. Fire damage is kind of mid

When attacking people with helm, just join event, find them, then leave event so they can’t locate you or harm you. Pull up next to them and rejoin… if you think you’re about to die, leave event again before dying, they won’t be able to do damage…. This is how my friends and I win every time. How we also take out the cargo hunt as well

Water tank? I think you mean war drums. That and sate gives you 80 percent reduction on stamina drain. So that would be 95 percent total 👍....water tank....😂😂
Yes... definitely fix the overlay.. sooo annoying... also when doing helm wager or cutthroat other people shouldn't be able to just fast travel.. maybe if you accept you should only be able to start from wherever you are on the map or have to pay a fee cuz there's nothing lost for them and everything lost for you..

Ive done like 24 double or nothings and at 1 point i had 5 poeple shooting at me i have never lost or died lmfao i aint telling you my secret but i know alot of shit that is not on youtube ive been playing ever since early acces atm i am number 6 in the world for helm score. I moved like 70k gold and man poeple where on me even poeple that couldnt join the wager half the server was chasing me and couldnt kill me. And no its not a glitch or exploit you will find out soon enough what i use I might make vids about it got a channel with 600 subs still dont know why i didnt make vids about this maybe ill milk it out 3 more days to get 400k gold
Impossible to solo in this game and they can join as a 3 man and it is a party of 4 and just milk the fourth making it pointless to even join which then makes it unclear as to why you would add the PvP concept. Maybe I'm wrong tell me how is this balanced and how could you balance it?
