yeah you're right, but it still does things most things waaaaay better than any other animated adaptions, it would be interesting to see how they could deliver that infromation tho!
I saw a video about why most catholic movies are bad, and it was the writing. Those scripts are focusing more on the preaching than the story. With these two movies, there are a few tiny moments of that, but they create characters with flaws and troubles, and they had to discover God's teachings throughout the films. I'm really glad that someone took the time to make a video about Joseph. Keep up the great work.
Exactly! Joseph's movie was such a big part of my childhood and made me bummed when I saw there weren't any videos about him, thank you so so so much for watching, it warms my heart sm!
As a Christian, I agree. Most religious films suck and don't show how historically fascinating the Bible is. And they whitewash the main characters too, blech.
these two movies are a masterpiece in my eyes. disney wouldn't even try to attempt and tell these beautiful stories, only dreamworks can. As i got older, i began to appreciate and favored this studio more. Also, dreamworks should bring 2d animation back. :) i also really liked your singing :)
as abominable some of dreamwork's more modern movies are you can never deny the gems they've made!!! it would be a dream if they could revisit this 2d style :( lmaoo I was only singing to avoid copyright and not have to pitch things up because the music is that gooooooood! thank you so much for such kind words
My mom got miffed about the Joseph one because according to her "he never held a grudge against his brothers" lol like why did he feel the need to test them then huh? I wouldn't blame him at all
Now, I watched Joseph king of dreams before, the prince of Egypt, because the story of Joseph takes place in the book of Genesis before Moses freed his people from Egypt in Exodus.
upon further research…you are definitely right, I feel so silly! Idk why they made her look so different to me but the jewelry is the same, thanks for letting me know! I feel like Joseph king of dreams is terrible underrated, I love it too much as a kid!!
I loved your video! These are some of my favorite movies. Not completely related but I have played one of Joseph’s brothers in a stage play (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor dreamcoat) and I love that as well as Joseph King of Dreams. But that made me research more (aka read the Bible and scholars) and realized that Benjamin was born before Joseph was sold when I thought he wasn’t because of King of Dreams. Also their Dad was low key mean to Benjamin to like Benjamin was born and his mom died so Jacob just took Joseph and abandoned the rest of his kids and wives for a while.
@@kate9708 omfg that's so crazy I didn't even know that! Honesty Joseph King of Dreams made me wanna do so much research, like even finding out about their sister they didn't even mention in the movie and how she got kidnapped and her brothers ambushed her kidnappers then one of the brothers wanted to marry her after that. craaaaaaazy
@@garlichehe Yeah I learned all about that. Those people were horrible who took her. I’m not usually one for such drastic revenge but I support them. Yeah I also told the rest of my class who everyone was full siblings two. I was Asher so my only full brother was Gad (I was the son of Leah’s slave) Then Rachel’s slave had two children so those would be raised by her and considered hers as well but they weren’t as beloved as they weren’t her blood children. The rest were Leah’s including Dinah who was Jacob’s Seventh child landing her in the middle
I do reminisce and listen to their old stuff from time to time, but can’t listen to their recent music if I’m being honest but the love is definitely there :)
