@@ia79661this is such a tiresome argument for critics and people alike, as if the point of a critic is to give bad ratings. She does occasionally give things lower than 5 ratings but when she’s checking out food that is revered (which is what she usually does) it makes no sense to expect her to give that food a lower than 5 rating, for even if it isn’t to her taste- it’ll still be quite good regardless.
@@fyoutube2294 when's the last time you took a recommendation unequivocally? even the "good ones" are very hit or miss and there's always politicking involved in local food scenes. Look at Keith Lee. You can be honest about the food. Giving something mid an 8/10 because you're afraid to be mean doesn't actually tell me which of these places I should go to or not. I live in NYC so I have access to a bunch of these, I just wouldn't trust any of her recs unless it's like a 12/10... which means just move the fucking scale back down to 10 because now I don't trust 7/10 now to be decent.
@@ia79661 first of all, most people don’t take it as seriously as you so its not an issue. And secondly, I added the “and people alike” because this girl isn’t even a “food critic” in the sense of what you probably view as a “food critic”. Her word is not gold, she’s not the food critic from ratatouille. Not to mention that this 1 out of 10 rating scale isn’t even an objective one (also there isnt one). For some people, a 5/10 is average and for others that is a 7/10 and anything below that isn’t even worth it. Besides, if you’re really looking for recommendations to spots, you don’t take just one person’s word for it, you ask more than one person for their opinion. And some other stuff but im about to chow down on some cantaloupe so I don’t wanna continue
@@ia79661She’s being paid to rate these foods so there’s no doubt her rating is somewhat influenced off of whatever amount of $$$ she’s paid, but it’s also worth noting that not everyone enjoys the same foods, so what might look or taste like a 3 to you could easily be a 10 to me. She’s definitely not ordering anonymously either so if they’re aware of who she is she’s probably getting top of the line quality food. 🤷🏼♀️
I know right! seeing different variations of one dish is so exciting because you can see how each country can put their special touch into it to make it more different and not just some boring one type thing
@armesto8639 haha. Not that Georgia. The country that used to be in the Soviet Union near Russia, not the US state. Although maybe there is Georgian restaurant somewhere in the state of Georgia.
Don't know if you've already done it, but I would love to see you try Brazilian food one day! As a fellow Brazilian myself, I adore seeing other people eating our dishes! As always, you never fail to make me hungry!
I hope she never EVER gets diabetes because it’s makes me so happy watching her eat food I can’t even dream of eating. I pray she can continue to make us smile for as long as she wants to. So refreshing watching people eat yummy food without worrying about blood sugar.
Omg you should definitely try the Hungarian gulash which is a rich soup with beef often served in a bread, you will love it, its so flavourfull and spicy!!!

I spent some time on a Georgian military base near Tbilisi. The dfac had this chicken that was amazing. It was a creamy yet spicy white sauce with bell peppers in it. Does anyone know what it is called?
