@@Righteous85 these days the world is full of people hating right away when they prefer one thing over another. Karissa here declaring pizza is pizza no matter what kind or from where is one way of saying she doesn't care about those small things and that she just loves all of them. For me it's really sweet 😊
She rated only 8/10 a Margherita pizza from "pizzeria da Michele" in Naples, meanwhile she rated 10/10 this 22$ american pizza lmao. She just eats and obviously doesn't know what a quality product is. Her voice is also IRRITATING.
Karissa, you did it right! 3 different styles and they’re all winners. Thanks for not “trashing” our deep dish. It truly is something special. Glad you enjoyed all of those pies.
I just miss the pizza, there is a few places that make it where I live but its just not the same. Unos is the only place that makes pizza similar to chicago.
So glad you got the proper Chicago style tavern pizza. That's what we eat 99% of the time. Deep dish is like once a year, usually with the family from out of town who wants the "authentic" experience 😂
Chicago deep dish pizza would die if it wasn't for tourists! The locals know what's up... And it's not that wet sloppy mess! It's definitely tavern style!
@@mpsanghaI wouldn’t say it’s a sloppy mess. But it def has its time and place as Once in a Blue Moon😂 Tavern style is MADE for you to be able to have it OFTEN Both are amazing. But one is def like only a few times a year OR during winter weather And the other is for the rest of the year hahaha
I believe you. That looks the best to me by far, and I used to be a pizza chef for many years. So I know my pizza. Although I’m not passing any of them up. ✌️
I agree! Pizza is wonderful in all it's many forms! People need to get over Chicago vs New York, in terms of pizza. We need to just be thankful this timeline HAS pizza!!
Never had NY pizza, but I absolutely adore the Chicago deep dish. I found a bomb recipe and made it in my own cast iron pan and it took me back to my weekend in Chicago as a poor university student on a field trip.
I absolutely love your videos. I live on the south side and the BEST PIZZA IS PHILS ON 35th west of Morgan St. But the number one pizza place in Chicago is PEQUODS ON THE NORTH SIDE! Also…A CHICAGO STAPLE IS RICOBENES! The breaded steak sandwich is what Chicago is known for but I love the Chicken Vesuvio! You will NOT be disappointed!!!!!
That deep dish looks amazing🔥🔥 Hopefully one day I'll get to try, where I live is basically NY style pizza it's good but I need something different in my life
THANK YOU!!! Everyone I know from Chicago likes to bag on Lou's but I freaking LOVE it!! It's def in my top 3!! 1. Cecil Whittaker's (St Louis area) 2. Andre's (Hollywood, CA) 3. Lou's (Chicago area)
@@johnk4541So the sauce doesn’t dry out before it gets to you probably? It also probably helps it stay together. Get cut off on the way home, slam on the brakes, and you’ve got quite a mess. ✌️
As an Italian I would love to try all those different variations of pizza that you can find in the USA. I’m really curious about the deep dish pizza, even tho it looks very heavy it also looks so good😻
A lot of us here in the u.s maybe expect Italians to be opposed to trying Italian American variations of pizza, cool to see your curious to try how they do it here.
@@jessemathieu1594 Yeah here people go feral upon watching Americans “killing” italian food. Honestly I don’t really care how people eat their food and I’m really open to try those revisited recipes. Or maybe I’m just a broken italian since I like pineapple pizza 😂 Don’t get me wrong, I’m proud of our culinary tradition but I don’t see the point of getting mad at people for like enjoying pizza how they want in their homes, especially if they are not doing so with the intent of insulting Italy
@@jessemathieu1594 Living here I can assure you that a lot of people have the mindset of “Italy has the best food and your food sucks” that kinda make us look like rude self centred people🥲
@@giuliasantoro496 It’s like how Chinese Americans reinvented Chinese food so it’s not as authentic as in China, but many Chinese Americans grew up with it in their parent’s restaurants and still love it, even if it’s not like back in China. I think it’s better to think of it as it’s own thing, kinda like how chicken tikka masala was made by an Indian chef In the UK, most Americans know that Italian American food isn’t the real deal authentic stuff though, Anyway I hope one day I will get to travel to Italy and try the authentic food, greetings to your country😊
Welcome to chic-town!! We have awesome food here! You have to try some Italian beef and also the Middle-eastern restaurants in the south suburbs...you'll enjoy some really good eats 😋
Judging by your comment I can tell youve never been here (Chicago) before@@steveo5999 Chicago is the shit!!… if you wonder off far into certain neighborhoods, yeah it can be sketchy but you literally have to go out of your way for something bad to happen and even then youre not in anymore danger than you would be anywhere else.
Yea that pizza pot pie in Lincoln Park is the best 😋. Personally I like Giordano’s over Lou’s. Then there’s Home Run Inn pizza for the tavern style. South side has the best pizza spots. I can’t enjoy pizza outside of Chicago unless it’s in Italy lol.
@@debblake1286 I never heard of that place but definitely going there now. North side all the nice swanky places with fusion and international cuisine, South side best comfort food around lol
I just love how she rates all things with honesty, she doesn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings, she’s just well- Karissa, and one day if I ever go to any of these places, I’m definitely getting what she got 🤣
Omg they look so good. I’m from Scotland, UK and our pizza places aren’t up to scratch tbh. One thing I look forward to when travelling will be the food for sure 😋😂
