Long story incoming! I caught a girl I was dating making out with a guy our friend group met that night at a club in Shanghai. I walked away for about 30 seconds and was like “ok how do I handle this?” I was thinking of a million ways to do it. But I settled on this. I simply left. Told our friend group who hadn’t seen it, I was the only one who saw it at that point, “hey guys I’m getting tired I’m heading home.” One of them asked “Alone? Where’s *insert gf’s name* (I’m being nice by not using her name.) I said “o she’s over there she has a ride home now.” And I just left. Didn’t say a word to her. She was basically living with me at the time btw. I got home, showered and got ready for bed. I had about 8 missed calls and like 20 texts. Basically asking where the hell I am and why I left. I told her “o! Well I saw you making out with *insert his name* so I figured you were good and had a place to stay.” I got a phone call immediately. She first tried to deny it until I told her exactly where she was and what song was playing when I saw her etc. She starts crying and profusely apologizing to me. Btw I was crying on the ride home I never let her see that though. I called my sister crying too. She called my sister as well and yea….my sister went off on her. Anyways, she said she’s coming over. I lived in a special apartment for foreigners in Shanghai since I was living and working there at the time. I tell her to pound salt and that she’s a cheating bitch and I don’t ever want to see her again and she goes from apologizing to making excuses for it after I tell her off and damage her ego making it clear we are done. She’s yelling at me that I can’t ignore her she can always find me and won’t stop calling me and knows my number by heart etc. So in front of her I walk into a phone store and buy a new SIM card and tell her “not anymore you don’t.” I get in a taxi and head home; tell the front desk if they ever see her again call the cops immediately. Now I was scared for a good few weeks after this since I was a foreigner in China. She could lie about me to my work, the authorities etc and get me in serious trouble. They’d absolutely take her word over mine in a place like China since I’m foreigner and right off the bat in many of their eyes I’m “taking advantage” of Chinese girls by simply being there. Luckily though she never did this. She finally got it through her head I wasn’t taking her back after a few weeks of me dodging my normal hang out spots and taking alternate ways to the office and I told them what happened and if they saw her waiting outside to tell her to leave or call the cops. Last contact I had with her was when I put all of her stuff in a couple of boxes, called one of her friends and had her come and pick it up and she came with her. Nothing was said she barely looked at me and just walked away. Haven’t seen her since. That was about 9 years ago. Hope she learned from it.

Some women think my relationship with my man is rather boring, as we have no drama between us and no complaints. They even try to find problems about us and one woman had the courage to tell me "he seems controlling, I would be careful if I were you." Miss, I've been in controlling relationships before and I have very controlling parents, he's far from controlling and when I asked her for an example - she couldn't give me an example of how he's controlling.
