surprised at David Jason's choice they were all great ,but I think Miami twice wasnt up there with the best in my opinion,jolly boys outing had everything brilliant,I also thought chain gang episode was up with the best ,also when Rodney(Charlton) got married the holding back the years song was perfect for the episode

Fantastic 2 part episode of OFAH. Sums up how brilliant an actor David Jason is to play the two parts to perfection. Wonderful comedy!

Great episode/TV movie even down to the nightclub scene with Adamski and Seal's 'Killer' when the mafia first see the Trotters. Perfect song to suggest trouble is brewing - the beat worked with that moment too. Amy Grant's 'Baby Baby' had been playing then in contrast this very dark but funky song comes on with the presence of the gangsters

I watched more than 20 I guess lol and still watching it to fell asleep sometimes. No drama no sex no swearing no bad staff just lifestyle beside on reality. I loved Miami Twice but I really struggled to enjoy it at first just because I thought he couldn't do an American accent. Thankfully, the comedy and the fantastic writing made it easy to ignore 👍

I grew up with uncle instead of grandad , but watching them over the years you realise how funny grandad was out of the two grandad was my personal favourite although uncle was very good also .

Watch this for as long as I can remember but only just found out David Jason isn't he's real name lol For anyone wondering what his real name is it's David White lol He chose Jason from Jason and the Argonaut's I do believe :-)

The episodes from Series 6 onwards with more time was the best remember one episode being about 55 mins long, but did I care no it was great.

I don't mind Miami Twice but it's so far fetched. I know lots of the eps are but this one just took it to another level.

Miami Twice is enjoyable, and there are some laughs to be had, but for me it really marks the decline of the show. It just feels like they were running out of ideas by that point, which is strange because the following year they did Mother Nature's Son, which was silly, but more like an OFAH episode - that was probably the best episode of the 90s and 00s. But Series 6 + Jolly Boy's in the late 80s is really where the show peaked (in my opinion).

Wow David Jason is looking old. He’s one of my favourite actors from the United Kingdom and one of the last left of my favourite era of British sitcoms. Now that all the original actors from last of the summer wine have passed except for maybe legs neighbor Howard I hope David Jason does some more sit coms or a touch of frost. I’m glad he’s doing still open all hours and really can’t wait to see this years episodes.

true story, if you ask for his autograph and forget to say Sir, he replies "Its Sir David to you". Kid you not. as great as he is, he should never use his title to belittle his fans.

The only fault if ever there was one with OFaH was that they made Del Boy and Rodney lose their money and go back to their original state... that robbed the series from some new fine situations with Del Boy behaving like a real millionaire going into council politics etc etc... sort of same like “yes minister” and yes prime minister... which was also another gem of solid gold British comedy... but this is only my humble opinion...

No one should ever limit comedy by ridiculous rules and regulations regarding time and or PC nonsense. Stifling comedy genius or a persons imagination is akin to blasphemy as far as I am concerned. Same with audio, visual, verbal or written etc. Pure, undiluted sacrilege.

I'm going to buck the trend and say that I think Miami Twice is one of the worst episodes. Apart from the plot - which is flimsy at best, especially stretched over two episodes (running away to America to avoid a wine importer - really?) - the script is very weak and certainly does not warrant two episodes. However, the worst aspect is David Jason's woeful attempt at a mafia boss, the cringeworthy and clichéd Don Occhetti. This was clearly an attempt to showcase Jason's supposed versatility as an actor, but what we get instead is an unconvincing 'mafia by numbers' character, whose accent meanders from the Bronx - via the home counties - to a bad Vito Corleone impression. The lack of a laughter track makes the poor dialogue even more apparent, but then adding a Boycie ex machina scene? Please! I've nothing against either Only Fools And Horses or David Jason, but I disagree with the notion that he's a brilliantly versatile comic actor (look at the 'Still Open All Hours' debacle). He's brilliant at being Del Boy.
