We share some information from field trip on an Iranian gold porphyry deposit. The host intrusive body is an alkaline quartz diorite. The properties are similar with gold porphyry deposits in Mariconga belt gold porphyries in Argentina such as Pancho & Verde. Banded quartz veinlets are prevasive. clay & tourmaline alterations are vast. Peripheral gold veins are possible.
