I was lucky enough to own this album on vinyl bought way back in 1991. The Saw Doctors meant so much to me through the 1990's. I was thrilled to discover that Leo Moran lived in the same road in Galway for at time in the 90's as my Mum's cousin did and still does live. I was also lucky enough too, to bump into Pierce Doherty in William St in Galway in 1995 and he kindly stopped for a chat. This song reminds me of the love of my life who I lost. Wendy Delaney. I still miss you Woo.
First song on a mix-tape I made for my girlfriend, back when we were students in the early 90s. First song at our wedding nearly 10 years later. I only mention it, because she's over visiting her sister in Scotland, and she's just texted me to tell me the wee band in a wee pub in the middle of nowhere, are playing it now :)
I’ve been around the world 🗺 I’ve traveled 🧳 many seas I’ve seen a lot of pretty girls But there is only one ☝️ girl 👧 for me Only one ☝️ girl 👧 for...only one ☝️ girl 👧 for... Only one ☝️ girl 👧 for me Only one ☝️ girl 👧 for...only one ☝️ girl 👧 for... Only one ☝️ girl 👧 for me The man 👨 that I would be The man 👨 that you would hear 👂 I only wish that you could see The power I have when she is near Only one ☝️ girl 👧 for...only one ☝️ girl 👧 for... Only one ☝️ girl 👧 for me Only one ☝️ girl 👧 for...only one ☝️ girl 👧 for... Only one ☝️ girl 👧 for me You can call it infatuation You can call it an act of faith You can say that I’m only having you on But there is one ☝️ thing that I have to say (There is only one ☝️ girl 👧) (Only one ☝️ girl 👧 for...only one ☝️ girl 👧 for...only one ☝️ girl 👧 for me)
