Lately we’ve been talking alot about the end of Jujutsu Kaisen which I myself believe we’re actually starting to get pretty close to, however that really has me worried about the status of our characters and whether or not they’ll survive the story, especially when you consider what the author Gege Akutami had to say about it in 2019. Back then, Gege said that for the moment the final chapter hadn’t yet been completely decided or set in stone, but he said that he thinks that by the end of the story, he can only see himself choosing 1 of 2 endings. The first ending, is one where only ONE character, out of the group of Itadaori, Megumi, Nobara and Gojo would actually die, leaving the other 3 to remember them as the world moves on after the end of the series. The other ending however which is the one that I think he ultimately decided on, is an ending where out of these 4 characters, only ONE, will survive. This is REALLY worrying because right now in the manga, Nobara has been missing for 2 years with no body to show for it, Gojo is laying on the ground with his brain intact but presumably being dead, AND Megumi has had his body completely taken over by Sukuna, leaving only Yuji Itadori alive and.. Not well but atleast he’s alive. So could we be heading towards an ending of JJK where Yuji Itadori is the only one to survive, despite dying being the one thing he was sure that he was okay with at the end of this? Or could Gege still hit us with the Switcheroo, with us finding out that all of Yuji’s friends are still alive, but he won’t get to be with them despite this fact. What would you like?
