At 7:18, limits.cpu.allowance=30% allows it to use up to 30% of a single core, not 30% of the CPU. If you want up to 3 cores, use 300%. There's a video of stgraber that explains this.
Recently QNAP container station, which is LXD based, had changed from limits.cpu.allowance to limits.cpu. I had wondered why. I am not completely sure that you are correct though considering a quote from @stgraber "Setting limits.cpu.allowance doesn’t cause LXD to setup the cpuset configuration, so you aren’t pineed to any specific core at that stage."
Interesting application. Pity, in a way, that it uses email addresses as the login. I would've much rather the ability to create local accounts without the need for an email address so that my tiny humans will be able to use this as well. Bummer.
@@scottibyte Correct, however at ~11:25 in the video, when you run the workspace-install script, it gives you the option of either installing onlyoffice via docker or via the RPM/DEB packages. In the video you chose the latter because you ran into issues with nesting docker within an LXC container. However now that OCI containers are available within Incus, would you be able to choose the docker** option instead? **Obviously you wouldn't be able to use the install script, since I'm sure it would use docker commands instead of incus commands, but would it be worthwhile to go through the install script and translate everything over to incus/OCI commands? Or is the juice not worth the squeeze?
@@WilliamSayin I think the target use case for OCI containers are simpler apps. The video coming out tomorrow is another OCI example. Nesting works fine in both LXD and Incus containers. When it doesn't, it's because of unique access to host resources. Incus OCI is in its initial release. According to Stephanie, there are a lot of options that will be upcoming.
@@scottibyte OK very interesting, I'm very much an amateur and am enjoying learning from your videos, and I appreciate your wisdom! I'm moving from Proxmox to Incus and am having fun learning a new system and the differences in thought that have to be applied. Looking forward to more from you! Thanks!
