Ons Jabeur Just Revealed - "Playing against Iga Swiatek is Impossible"

Iga Swiatek recently defeated Ons Jabeur on September 10th, 2022. Iga defeated Ons, 6-2, 7-6(5) to win her first US Open and third Grand Slam title at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The Tunisian, on the other hand, finished runner-up at a Major for the second time, having lost to Elena Rybakina earlier this year at Wimbledon. Martina Navratilova presented the runner-up trophy to Ons Jabeur and while receiving the trophy she said, “I really tried but Iga didn’t make it easy for me. I don’t like her very much right now but it’s OK.” She also told that she will keep on working hard in future and one day she will be able to get the title soon. But in her post-match interview, Ons said that she does not like IGA and Swiatek and that it is impossible to play against her.

Previous matches:
Both players have played each other a few times in recent seasons. Ons Jabeur won both of their meetings last year, while Iga Swiatek won both this year. The 28-year-old stated that she hopes to play her in major matches in the future and to overtake her in the WTA rankings. Before facing Swiatek in the finals she said,
"We'll definitely play each other because she's number one and I'm number two. Hopefully, our matches will be fantastic. I believe her forehand and serve have greatly improved. She's always had a strong backhand. That's difficult. She is physically everywhere. She can bring any ball she wants. It's always difficult to play someone who takes one more shot "She stated. "Yes, I believe we'll face each other in the Finals. Perhaps we'll be divided into different groups. I'm not sure. But, yeah, I'm catching up in the rankings, and I know she has a lot of defending points, whereas I have none. That is the intention, "She continued.

Iga is unbeatable. Period. She is a tennis prodigy. She is what women tennis have been looking for a long time.If Iga loses, it is because she wants to. Some of them do not like her due to envy. Unless the current WTA players change their outlook to match her game, Iga is going to reign for a while. She is tennis genus and has surrounded herself with a Professional staff that approaches the sport in a business lile fashion. In order to beat her, you need more than a SERVE. You have to be an all around tennis player. Unlike most of the one dimensional WTA players, Iga can change her game tactics based on her opponents playing style. Enough said.

Iga Swiatek indeed belongs to the absolute top! Time and time again she proves that. However you pronounce her name, write her or whatever, everyone knows who you mean! That means you are a very big one.

Ons did not say " I don't like her right now but it's ok" , but she said " I don't like her very much right now but it's ok" . Now in my opinion that is a big difference because that " very much" puts thez emphasis on that it's just a joke. Besides she was smiling when she was saying it. And on press conference she said it was a joke , so you know it damn well too. Are you doing that on purpose to present things like they are not?

It is a bad habit not to learn properly how to pronounce and twist somebody's last name. Certainly, it requires some effort to learn at least some words in foreign languages instead of using only someone´s mother tongue.

Iga is not unbeatable! The same thing was said until she played at Wimbledon. It's also a lie that Jabeur said what has been said about her. If Jabeur study Iga, she can beat her. She have the ability, stronger and can be as fast. What Jabeur needs to do is to let Iga go for every ball and keep the ball out of the middle of the court. That is what Iga also do to win. If you don't believe me try it. That's how she got beaten at Wimbledon which isn't her favourite surface also.

Why are some Polish fans so sensitive? It's no problem for Iga how her last name is pronounced, she said so herself. It's not the easiest name to pronounce correctly, if it's even possible. It's not the worst thing in the world not to be always correct with names. Sometimes it is even more interesting to hear how foreigners pronounce your name. It doesn't have to be 100% CORRECT.

@@michamajewski8180 I appreciate your input, but again, in real life people aren't going to pronounce yours or Iga's name 100% correctly, even if they go on internet and look it up. I can show you words in English that you're never going to pronounce 100% correctly, unless you were born and raised in the area. It's never offensive to try, but miss by some margin. I think some Polish fans are overly sensitive and should perhaps learn the real life lesson and stop putting so much emphasis on pronounciation of Iga's last name. Contrary to what you may be thinking, it's not good for the overall reception of Polish fans when they keep insisting on that too much. It's called humility and it's a good thing. I don't even know if I say/spell Djokovich correctly. I'm sure the man himself doesn't mind.

@@john_scott Bro if he watched US Open how is he not able to pronounce her name at least similar to how the commentators were pronouncing it. They like have been pronouncing her name correctly for a long time by now, they learned after Rolland Garros, some even after 2020 one. Also there are so many videos with her name is pronounced, they say it in literally every video with her on youtube and after US Open there is a lot. Its not even hard, you just need to listen to it for like one or 2 times and you can just repeat it the way commentators saying. Butchering surnames when all you need to do is just watch one random video with the person to learn how to say it is really lame. Especially if the person is nr 1 in tennis ranking

@@andrzejkrasnicki no, I didn't mean it that way...what I wanted to say is that as a tennis star Iga still has flaws. Iga became the target of other players in every tournament due to his status as the world's No. 1 player. It would be a matter of pride for them if they could bring down Iga. Even so overall Iga is still the best in the world... as a great and caliber player it is certain that every player I mentioned will be defeated by Iga in any tournament to come... I am sure of that.
