Onslow is a lovely quiet coastal town and we had planned to spend 3 nights in the Ocean View Caravan Park however ended up extending our stay to 9 nights! The caravan park was right on Sunrise Beach. Easy walk to town and the Beardon Bay Hotel. We cycled around town to the skate park and swimming pool and the boys rode their bikes up and down the beach. Jamie and the boys enjoyed fishing off the beach and caught quite a few different fish and a spotted ray. We took a walk along the 1 km boardwalk to sunset beach and enjoyed the signs along the path that provided information about Onslow and its history. Onslow is a salt mining town and it was interesting to learn about something different. It is an 80 km drive in off the highway, which is probably why it was quiet but definitely worth a visit.
