When revamping Onua's character, I wanted to make him more nuanced than the stereotypical meatheads Toa of Earth are often depicted as. Subsequently, I've leaned further into Onua's original characterization: someone noble and down-to-earth, who speaks only when he has something worthwhile to say. As such, Onua now hails from the tropical Southern Continent of the Matoran Universe. Wise beyond his years, Onua came to be trusted by the Turaga of his village, who often sought his council. While many of the other Mata were chosen for their physical aptitude or leadership capabilities, it was Onua's nobility that made him truly exceptional.
I wasn't aware of Onua's personality changing over the course of the franchise, how would you say he's charcterized in the Karda Nui arc for comparison?
i always enjoyed how bionicle had toys for like normal people and normal animals of the world, like yes its a farmer but its also a cool cyborg farmer and a cool cyborg bird
Onua having farming routes weirdly fits he’s always had some kind of insight ya know sees the forest for the trees or however the saying goes makes him feel more humbled and down to earth and wise like the reboots take
@@yichlyichl4204 eh, most dark hunters and other characters in the bionicle universe are/were mocs. Still doesn't give original commenter the right to be a party pooper.
