I want to tell my story. I fell in love with a Darbuk 4 years ago. I myself am from Ukraine. We do not know this tool. There is no one to learn from. I watched lessons on RU-vid. The first year of study was very tough. But the desire to master the instrument was beyond any barriers for me. I still can not play at this level, but I strive for this. And I'm sure that I will succeed! Thank you for the video!
If the world was a better place. This guy would be a millionaire for talent and dedication to his art. The best thing I have watched on RU-vid for weeks.
Absolutely amazing!!! I was mezmerized. You are truly a testament to the beauty and complexity of your people and your culture. I wish you God's blessings. Thank you for sharing the clip!

You deserve to become internationally famous.
I from Armenia, at us too am popular darbuka, and I very much love east percussion instruments, Onur the good fellow, very much very well plays, give the God to it health and successes in art.
Coming back to our awesome darbuka drummer here, there's absolutely no telling how he practiced this fine craft. Maybe his dad/granddad was an amazing player, and he got 1. fascinated with the instrument and 2. received patient and very qualified tips and feedback to learn all the right habits. Could be any number of things, that one fails to consider, if one just uses this catch-all word, talent. I'm firmly convinced it's not constructive at all for learning anything, long term.
