yknow when you watch something, and you know that it was really hard to do, but it has limited appeal outside of understanding that it was difficult? That's what this kinda was. It's self-aware, it's intentional, beautiful, and letting the equipment and performer do the talking. People often complain about colorguard being too traditional, or too gaudy, too shallow, or too saturated. This got away from all that but for the average viewer this is like a Picasso and not in a bad way, but just in a on the nose kind of way that feels like a critique of everything else.
I’ve been away from color guard for about a hundred years and I went to a show last year and was bored out of my mind. Everything was slow and a ballet recital. The show I just watched left me speechless. This is probably one of my favorite shows of all time. Great work
