Onyx has been ripping it up this year, and his first win seems like it can't be too far away. Unfortunately, the 6x continues to struggle. We will keep digging!
Way to go Onyx!! Out there giving it all you can with what you got and track conditions. You've got a great team behind you, supporting you in every way possible, and a super dad, giving you positive and constructive feedback and advice to help you get that little bit more from the car, even when it's not handling the most comfortably. The never give up attitude is what makes a winner in the long run. Keep up the awesome work. I can see you driving for one of the big teams in NASCAR one day. Maybe take dad along for crew chief. Happy Father's day to all the dads out there!!
Wow, Onyx is progressing nicely. Seems to be doing extremely well for his age. Stays out of trouble and is in control. Looking forward to following him as he keeps improving. Nice job Onyx.
Great racing Onyx! That's a shame what happened to your carburetor but I guess it's all part of racing. Unfortunately mechanical things can and will fail. I look forward to seeing you both back out there soon kicking butt! Thanks for sharing the videos guys.
Not so bad going into one, but a bit pushy going into three. But he was using what the track and car were giving him and not fighting with it. Good job young man! I hope the 6x can get going! I just found this channel and being a life long race fan, this channel is very entertaining. Good luck gentlemen!
Thanks for another great video everyone. It was interesting and enjoyable for sure. Good racing everyone. Onyx you did extremely well tonight. Nice win on the B main. Your driving Onyx is better and better all the time. You did great in the 100 lap race. Onyx you got it!!!!!!! Zach sorry about your carburetor float caving in. Your car seems to handle well but just a lot of motor issues. That hit from the night before did not help the drive shaft being torn up. Hopefully soon your car will be running good and you will be right up there again. Both of you are doing good. Just some more fine tuning. Enjoyed the racing. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I remember Zack in late model when Eric Breeschoten #66 used to race. I really enjoy your father son race video's keep them coming. Thanks to both of ya
@@betweentherows, Harlan does the machine work on my drag car engine. He talks about you and Nate all the time, when you guys were running together. Great family.
"You turned a lot more laps than me again tonight" That statement says it all. I've never seen a float implode like that. J'ever figure out what caused it???
It is great to see you doing this as a true team from working on the cars and supporting each other. Takes time to learn the car and the track you have a great group around you both Zack and Onyx's
It's been so fun watching Onyx wheel that B-Mod the last 2 years. I hope I'm in the house when he gets his first feature win this summer. Stretch those cables 73!!
Go Go Zake. Love the racing videos. Be proud of your son as he has quick response times with the car. First and for most shiny side up and rubber down on the dirt. Good luck. 👍👀 Please take care.
Just add a little marvel mystery oil to the carburetor to keep it fresh in between races and that's a jam nut that holds the float adjustment screw in place, more fuel turn counterclockwise and less fuel clockwise, the float being out of adjustment is what caused it to collapse! Hopefully this will help you out in the future and good luck! Watching from SE Ga!
Zach It's absolutely great to see how you support Onyx in his racing. Young man is improving every time on the track. It's also great to see him taking on more responsibility in the family farm. I always look forward to the video's. I'm a farm geek i guess. The technology is amazing. I'm a locomotive engineer for Norfolk Southern in Indiana. Been doin this 26 years now. When I retire I'll be traveling in my motor home full time and a dream of mine would be to volunteer to be a gopher on the farm for you or the larsons. Not for the pay at all. I wouldn't even care if I got paid really 😂. I'd be geeked out just helping do whatever. Keep up the awesome racing and farming videos! Thank you
To me it looked like his laps picked up in the second half, but it could be others were slowing down, like the green car he caught late in the race. Good driving.
Way to wheel Onyx. I know your Dad is proud of how you drove and that says a lot he been doing this for years so that was a complement from and old experienced driver!! Dad I know your proud your raising a great son!!
Onyx you did a great job. All you need is more seat time and you will be running up front all the time buddy. Becky thanks for all your hard work on these videos. I really enjoy them seeing Zach and Onyx racing together!
As the guy on the other end of that call, I knew it wasn't going to be good news when I saw the caller ID at that time on race night. Work and family keep me from traveling for some of the shows, but I do try to be available for the occasional "phone a friend."
I love watching Onyx driving, both on the farm and on the race track. I'm not really familiar with the rules of these races so is Onyx racing against others of around the same age or are there drivers of all ages? He is such a smooth driver that he will certainly be doing well, especially once everything matches up, the car and the driver. I always love watching all your videos both the Millennial Farmer and the Between the Rows ones. Love how the kids get in and help on the farm, it's really great to see and they are learning so much in the process. Pity abut the problem with the floar on the 6X but I think that the comment made by someone below about the possibility of it being because of the cold due to the methanol fuel may be the probelm, causing the float to colapse. Good luck with everything and keep the videos coming. I also agree with another comment below about the video and espacially the audio being much improved.
Was watching Onyx run and couldn't make up my mind if I wanted to use "tight" or "snug" on his entry. He could definitely put wheel into it on entry. He drove a smart race! You, not so much! 😉 As a parent myself, I would say you could live with those results. Murfreesboro, TN
It was great watching Onyx search for his fastest line, then knock down consistent laps. Drivers sometimes over drive the car when in this situation causing wrinkled metal.
I’ve been watching dirt racing a very long time all types of it. I started when I was around 13 to 15 an I’m 52 now an I have “NEVER SEEN ANY KINDA MOD RUN FROM GREEN TO CHECK WITH NO CAUTIONS” good job young man. Watch out for the shananagins they will hit you in the face. I’m glad you didn’t try an out the helmet on with that thang up in there.
Onyx has been up the wheel and is killing it. Keep it up wheelman! And you can’t always outrun bad luck, dad! Goodluck the rest of the season gentlemen
Wow, at the improvement I've seen in every time Onyx races! This kid has no fear and the cognitive ability to make decisions of his own during the race. He's good and gonna get better! He doesn't even have a driver's license yet. Great job.
Zackand oynx I live in Central michigan I known a person that raced cars at your age at the owosso speedway and his name is Eric Jones that now races the NASCAR circuit . Oynx you do have talent keep it between the rows 😅
Maybe it’s time to move Onyx into the A-mod? Bench the struggling driver. I used to frequent Princeton speedway glad it’s back to Wissota. I wish I’d have known you were racing Mod wars, I’d have liked to see you race
Onyx impressed me in the heat holding off Vandy as long as he did, before you know it that kid is going to be running up front on a regular basis, good job Onyx. dad on the other hand awww nevermind.
Onyx keep it up!you are d oing great more seat is all Onyx needs. He has figured out what he needs to d o just more laps and he is learning fast. The 6x car m a ybe junk it and start over?????
