I was looking at your bench and realized that it would be perfect for my daughter's house, but I was going to have to guess at the measurements - especially the "butt-curve" of the seat. You explained that perfectly, Thank you again. I'm only a beginner/quasi-intermediate woodworker and I sort of depend on teachers like you to guide my steps. I am a retired teacher and I recognize a fellow professional. Great design on the bench.

Hmm.. This is very interesting and surprising to me. I personally don't want any measurements in any video, as many projects I just like to watch for inspiration or research on techniques, and for the ones I build I just find the measurements I like the best to suit my own preferences. Even if I had the measurements given to me I would always, double and triple-check along the way anyway to make sure no errors were creeping in. And for things like seat height I just look at what I already have / similar products and find my happy place there. I respect people are different, I just was very surprised now as I am the complete opposite of those other commenters.

Hi Wes. from the UK, great video as usual. I will have to watch the video again and make notes, BUT how about this for an idea... All you need is a pencil... lay the working bits out in an exploaded view and just write your dims on the table. Wipe and ready for next video.. just a thought!!!! maybe..

You know I also asked you for measurements but after thinking about it if you're any type of carpenter you can come up with your own measurements that's what I did and I built one and it came out beautiful just like yours thank you again

Good morning Wes, I was hoping you could share where you got your glue applicator bottle?

How much weight will it carry? Like 400 lbs 2 person weight. Thanks for the measurements. There are so many RU-vid channels that make a build but then you have to buy the plans….

Your top mortise on bench looks much wider than 2 1/2”. If bottom one is 2” don’t believe the math ads up to where taper starts

So what do I buy, wood wise, for this project? Double sided plywood?
