We're back and almost at season's end. This video brings you two matchups with interesting pitching outcomes. First, JT Brubaker and Triston McKenzie showdown in a pitcher's duel in Cleveland. It comes down to the wire, and by some miracle unexplained in human history, Jack Suwinski goes the entire game without striking out AND gets the game winning hit. If you're as stunned as me, wait until you see game two to really get your jaw dropping.
Our second matchup shows Jared Jones facing off at home against the Miami Marlins in one of the more depressing games of the season. Jones looks good, but the bullpen catches on fire faster than the Pacific Coast in the fall and steals Jones of the win. Both games are a real microcosm for the ups and downs of 2024, but with the offseason around the corner we have some room for optimism.
