OP-06 Wings of the Captain unleashed G/Y Yamato, a leader with double attack, into the meta. Rather than "Yams go brr" we try out the Fortress build, which relies on the 8c Eustass "Captain" Kid as the main defense.

The thing about running Gedatsu is your opponent is pulled in two directions. Either they take the double attack swings, or they counter out and risk the Gedatsu removal. So either way it's a win-win for you 😂

I like this version, I built a more Aggro version but i also thought about to put kid in the deck especially for mirror matches. Rosinante is a really great blocker with an even better protecting effect

btw at 17:21 you could have placed a 2 rested don behind Killer I believe in case you wanted to block and draw with him.

Do you prefer going 2nd or 1st while playing yamato? Or fortress build prefer going 2nd since the even curve allows u to drop kid by ur turn 4?

I definitely want to try Yamato for op6. Also using leader ability to add attached dkn to killer block is good to use too so you can use draw ability

I didn't pull a single Hody at prerelease but I might try a version of this deck out without Hody until I get him. I was thinking of try out OP02 Oden or 7c Kid in his place, but the Rush and Rest 2 on Hody is so so good and irreplaceable.

Hello! Nice video! What do you think about running 3 hody and 3 doflamingos and 2 9cost Zoro? Also, is 10 2K counters enough for a fortress build? Thanks!

Not a fan of Zoro in the fortress build. It feels a little too slow. 10 2ks should be enough but I'd recommend adding more blockers if so.

small but I noticed at 11:21 the opponent can attach two rested dawn to use hiyori to out bonney and then lead can attack your leader instead. The rested dawn effect is easy to forget when you aren't playing a hody

I find myself forgetting to use that ability every now and then as well
