Your scenery reminds me of areas in southwest USA. My boss is a Rock Hound and would love looking through the mounds you showed. It looked warm and then you showed us a frost layer of ice on your car, 😮, surprise! Thank You for sharing.

That area is literally only a few hundred kms from the Desert It gets really cold overnight

Thank you just seen your video as I have not ventured out West, only just heard of Quilpie and looking fore something else than the travel trips I have done O/S because it was affordable and most of the time I dont have a car ute or high paying job.

You can do a trip quite cheaply - tent, bring your own food, own gear. You can access fossicking area by car. Roads are sealed.
